We can join ReactOS and FreeDOS

Since you're looking for DOS, I'm going to refer you to this project. http://www.freedos.org/ What they're doing might be more in line with what you're looking for, at least program wise. Also, ReactOS is nowhere near ready for everyday use. Hopefully that'll change by the time 0.5.0 comes around, ...

CeDeGa Compatibility Layer

FreeDOS COMMAND.COM Implementation for ReactOS

I have a new suggestion. Since some causes, FreeDOS command shell COMMAND.COM should be implemented into the distribution of ReactOS. The 1st's compatibility, because some old DOS applications require a 16-bit COMMAND.COM in order to execute their internal shell functions. The 2nd is compatibility a...

Re: Programs That Require Validation

Microsoft EULA is ms license condtitions, and what you do as end user, and what you do as end user is up to each other. ReactOS goal is to run any windows nt apps. That mean it will be posible to install IE on ReactOS. But how to break MS download protections is not anything we will support or how t...

It does come down to a lawsuit, then MS will in effect also be suing Wine, Samba, and any other project that is attempting to reimplement MS technology. We are not alone in having this problem. Can it be solved? Sure, once the Supreme Court gets around to sorting out the whole software patent mess....
