Well what ppl don't like are the milestones that aren't kept.
For example, now you can see that many Linux distros have put a day-timer for their next release (Ubuntu 8.04, OpenSuse 11, Fedora 9 for example).
If the milestones were kept, I think that less ppl would complain about the status IMO.

Re: Screen shots

If one views the screen shots, one sees that 1.0 is very doable. I look forward to version 1.0 of ReactOS. 8) Actually there are much thing to be done. For me, sound or video isn't crucial at the moment but to have the majority of programs running. Most of the installers currrently are working. Som...

You can start using WDK http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/devtools/wdk/default.mspx and make some tests there. Therefore you can download the implementations of the current drivers and make changes and recompile the code to see the results. The only sure thing is that you'll have to spend much time read...

I think it would be better to test it using a virtual machine for the time being. I'm waiting for official 0.3.5 release to test it to real hardware, although testing it using a virtual machine is easier and faster. :)

I've recently installed Kubuntu and wine and I was amazed by the apps that it could run. BUT I was also amazed by the apps that the recent svn could run. So, considering that, I could say that even 0.4 version will be a "stable" one for specific programs. OK so Microsoft released Vista... I don't th...

Adding it to "Download" is a good idea. Even if I think its better than the current "ROS-Notepad", this is a good alternative if nobody want to replace it with AkelPad. @EmuandCo Did you ask the other developers? What did they say? Wish you a nice day, theshu. I agree. For the time being it's bette...

No I don't mean this.
Let's say that ros crashes at first stage of setup. Can I get a log to submit it to bugzilla? I only know to do this via VMWare not in a real system.

Hello to you too and happy new year.
Many setups can't yet continue. Please provide us the program you wish to install or try to copy the installed files and run it from there.
Firefox works that way :)

LRN wrote:With ROSBE it is very easy to build ReactOS yourself from source. I did. Weekly/nightly ISO's are not necessary.
Well I can't build it. Tried it today with RosBE 1.1 and it stops. It finds errors. ANyway, if you have a DSL, it just takes a couple of minutes :)
