Re: Massive Lücke in Intel-CPUs erfordert umfassende Patches

Re: EPIC WIN!
Perhaps we should better move all application compatibilities in terms of the "Windows Vista SP2 (VISTASP2) and Windows 7 (WIN7RTM) compability mode" to own topics (e.g. Epic Win Compability Mode Win Vista and Epic Win Compability Mode Win 7" or at least to viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16859#p129142 ? Otherw...

Re: Massive Lücke in Intel-CPUs erfordert umfassende Patches

Re: Can development focus be switched from XP to Windows 10?
About Windows 10 being "junky" - I'm not thrilled with their UI choices myself. I much preferred Windows 2000 and 7 over all the others. But that's just the outer layer. The internals are far more important, and from that perspective Windows 10 is arguably the best thing MS has made yet. Almost not...

Re: How many of you still use Windows XP?
Keep in mind that the Microsoft Windows XP Point of Sale edition is STILL SUPPORTED. And for such purposes, there is nothing wrong with that. Well, but probably no one of us is using Windows XP POS... (which is as far as I know supported until 2019). And our normal Windows XP is not anymore support...

Re: How many of you still use Windows XP?
Compared to following NT-based Operating Systems like my Win 7: no. XP is an NT based o/s. Despite "following" and "my" I apologize for beeing unclear. As a former user of Win 98 SE and Win XP I am aware of its Kernel - and its history of beeing the first broad public OS with NT. Well, back in thos...

Re: How many of you still use Windows XP?
The more time passes by, the more secure it becomes (viruses crash instead of doing damage). I disagree. Personally Windows XP was one of the most stable OS from Microsoft and I really liked it. Wish that MS could continue supporting Windows XP in some way but things come to an end some day. Such i...

Re: Can development focus be switched from XP to Windows 10?
Let's compare it with an analogy: First we learn to add and to subtract (in terms of ReactOS in the shape of Win Server 2003 beeing NT-Kenel 5.2). Then we learn to multiply, to divide, to extract a root... (following NT-Kernels). And let's consider Win 10 and its NT-Kernel 6.4 aka "10" as for instan...
