nice would be some application which runs natively in ROS and shows always the latest API call which was made by a native application....
so one like me could see which one most propably caused the error....

does someone know such an application?

folks, don't forget one thing: a media player is nice. videolan and MPC might work, but most other players i know depend on DirectShow and DS codecs. this would need to be implemented, too (at least DS itself). not just cause of players, but: most applications that play back AVI/MPG/WMx files use DS...

sure, VLC is cool, just 2 bad things:

- it doesn't give any feedback when file type not supported
- it is quite unstable (at least on my win2k machine)....

on the tut, he says he uses the software renderer... so neither DX nor OGL....
the game has got renderers for both OGL and DX as well as IMHO 3DFX and software mode....

loki - why E/OS is a sh*t? cause it pretends to be a real, homebrewn OS which can run WIN32/DOS/OS2 and even MAC OS & Linux apps.... at the moment it can do nothing worth to show.... it is done by 2 folks (according to the sf projects page). hey, why not, let them do if they like, but IMHO it is wo...

tried it yesterday using the freeloader bootdisk.... when trying with yesterdays latest version from reactos.csh-consult.dk it boots up, but hangs after "initializing disk.sys". i.e. the harddrive seems to do something, but nothing happens. when i replaced it with the official binaries of 0.2.4, it ...

interesting. although there is already a HOW-TO describing the installation procedure of an NVidia driver, there is no information on OpenGL support... i downloaded the driver, and found some "nvoglnt.dl_" which can be expand'ed to nvoglnt.dll... (btw, is there some "expand.exe" already in ReactOS?)...

btw: just that i understand (i am a noob in things like graphics cards): when i got it right, the graphic accelleration chips used in current graphics cards are mainly made by NVidia and ATI, right? does that mean one could have 1 NVidia driver which works for all cards with an NVidia chip, no matte...
