Re: ReactOS is no threat to Windows.

Linux threat is desktop. There are many key reasons why Mac will work for a while for Vista getting away people. Its going to run into trouble when it comes to business security integration. Major issues of Linux will end. Closed source will be allowed on Linux lot simpler. This is a major change a...

I'd agree with this if we're referring to the desktop market, but I'd go with oiaohm saying that Linux is the threat if we're talking about servers.

Perhaps the author in question does his research at Uncyclopedia.

Re: ReactOS is no threat to Windows.

Dont feed the troll... :| Are you referring to me or to the article? Please note that I didn't intend this as a troll post. If I wanted to troll the ReactOS forums, topics such as "I think Firefox should be in the default install" or "Why not just use Linux instead of cloning Winblows" are proven t...

I think he means "ships as part of a default install," as it does with some other operating systems.

This thread is pretty much along the same lines as this one.

Re: Wallpapers i made when...

well, now consider as exercise doing the complete reverse thing - wallpapers using the less colours possible, without any kind of gradients, opacities, refractions, effects, etc. - i'm very curious to see the results so! :-) - a tip for this: bet on colour harmonies and composition balance. I'm gue...

Re: console tools defaultly from ReactOS

Please refer to this post. The devs have a pretty strict "don't include anything" policy for stuff that isn't bundled with a Windows OEM install.

EDIT: You could always request that these are added to the Download! tool, though.

ReactOS is no threat to Windows.

Just came across this. Haven't seen it posted here before, so here you are: ReactOS is no threat to Windows. The thing which struck me the most here was this: There’s a second reason React is going nowhere. It’s server code . Servers need support, hands-on support, for updates, for changes, for bug ...

Re: Suggestions for default programs in ROS

My suggestion would be to have a shortcut to Download! on the desktop as soon as ReactOS is installed, and also have a pop-up balloon (similar to the "Take a tour of Windows XP" one) with a message such as: Click here to install an Internet browser You can run 'Download!' later if you don't want to ...

Re: ReactOS 3.5 works in VirtualBox

I might be finishing up college the same time ReactOS goes into beta, which is funny, but that's just me. Maybe I'll be able to do business on a ReactOS PC. As the computer admin here at work, I've been planning to eventually switch all machines here over to ReactOS to avoid the cost of Windows lic...
