T-Shirts?

It would be nice if I could order a ReacOS t-shirt, something with the atom logo and witty or funny line relating to ros. Why not? The sale of t-shirts would create money for the ros project.

while obvious to many here, you can still run ros on a 64bit machine that is running in 32bit compatibility mode. i didn't see that anywhere on this thread, and thought it worthy of note, in case a newcomer reads this. it's not like ros is useless on 64bit machines. i'm sure it will be ported event...

(a few hundred dollars more) completely wrong. read the FAQ and License again. blender is GPL, and as long as you use blender for modeling only and do not us...

ReactOS is a clone of Windows NT, a portable operating system. I don't see why ros couldn't be ported later.

Additionally, the CD check doesn't work. You need to use a crack to get past it.

It was a joke. They've stripped WinFS, msh, etc from Vista, that the joke was that it's just a skin.

Microsoft is planning on release vista as a skin for xp pretty soon. It is a very sleek skin though.

Re: Why not Qemu?

Is there a reason why you couldn't use qemu directly on the USB thumb drive with 'qemu -hda /dev/sda -cdrom ReactOS.iso -boot d'? QEmu is painfully slow compared to real hardware... I meant for the installation. The directions have you install ReactOS onto an image using qemu, then copying this ima...

Bootloader help

The ros installer isn't writing the bootloader to my MBR. My MBR currently contains lilo.

I tried writing it to a floppy disc, but when booting the floppy, it said that it couldn't find the partition with ros.

USB support is being worked on, and is supposed to be ready in time for 0.3. You can try recent SVN version to see if it works yet, but I doubt it does.

Why not download and use KNOPPIX like I told you to do? It's a livecd, so it won't write over anything.
