Hmmm....

Generally speaking - if you really want a win16 subsystem sit down and implement one - I do not want to be unpolite but thats the hard fact. The same for os/2, skyos, irix and all the other ideas - great - but it seems no one is interrested in doing this stuff - there are only guys who want this stu...

Hmm..

Especelly the Gui is slow because there is very bad designed locking everywhere, to many locks making the scheduler crazy - that told w3seek me whos working on this since some time.

Hmm...

What ever the reason for this is. The surface needs to be improved. As I already said: For me, this is more important than the networking stuff. @ma-games.de: It would be great if you could help the reactos team with enhancing win32k-code or donate to developers working on this! This would really h...

Yes - of course.

Yes of course - AMD64 will be much more important as target for ReactOS than IA54 of course ;-) I was just about angry because some guys flamed an really good architecture just because its too expensive for their pockets *g* Nevermind, AMD64 will even increase in importance and I think this is reall...

AMD64 == briliant platform?

Porting it to Intal 64 (Itanium) is a waste of time - Itanium is dead now. Longhorn wont support it. Intel dont make it. Maybe Longhorn isnt the target - I know many guys using Itanium with Linux and are VERY happy. Itaniums design is the clear winner comparing all x86-compatible devices (and just ...

Java's Problem

Java#s Problem is, that the only full functional java-implemenattions are absed on sun source code and so if sun decides to do something strange, noone will have luck. Free JVMs as Kaffe or GCJ do not have all the APIs distributed by SUN and many programs simply do not work on them :-( I ensure that...

Hmmm...
