There seem to be a lot of topics like these popping up. ROS should include, pretty much, everything Windows ships with, maybe minus the middle-of-the-road text editor.

Re: My ROS Rights

Hello! This is my first post here. I just wanted to get this clear before I start coding. I can take the source code of ROS, change and edit it in any way I want, then I can sell it with my own name and don't have to credit ROS in any way. (But I still will credit you guys  ) Have I got this a...

Re: A New Hope - KDE 4 multiplatform

KDE 4 will be released in october. it's new because runs on windows and OSX (multiplatform). may be a good idea using it on ReactOS, because KDE is free. It could be helpful for developers. they can concentrate their efforts in frameworks, because the windows manager already exists. it is no use de...

Re: MS-Novell patent agreement

If Novell had any brains, they would not work with MS. They should be focusing on Linux instead of helping MS strengthen their illegal monopoly Windows doesn't have a monopoly in the illegal sense. It has a perfectly-legal mental monopoly. They don't have a monopoly, but as far as many users are co...

Hi, OK ... finally I got ReactOS up and running in VMware, version bootcd-27245-dbg. Apart from the fact, that I cannot change the display resolution and the ntoskrnl caused some BSOD, I really like it. But I cannot think of any way to get new programs, i.e. Firefox, into my VM. Can anybody help? G...

ReactOS, in my opinion, is a FOSS Manhattan Project, with the end result a proverbial nuke pointed straight at Redmond. This is the OS, pretty much, as far as I am concerned. Don't get me wrong, I love Linux. But Windows has a bigger market share, and this is just what we need. And we'll have MS kic...

You also have to take into account that Reactos is not version 1.0. Ie stable. Currently its the Alpha Status hoping to get to Beta status soon. So fast releases are perfectly acceptable. Daily would even be acceptable. But to do Daily takes a lot of person power. Its all about testing. More often ...

If you don't mind, I've hacked up a ReactOS version of that agreement. As you can see, it's virtually identical right now. ReactOS distributions must comply to the following set of guidelines. The ReactOS Foundation reserves the right to change these guidelines in the future. Naming, Trademarks, and...
