ReactOS 0.4.0 torrent
This was requested on IRC, so I made one. :-) Copy and paste the following magnet link into a torrent client to grab it: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:b090b0608ffa0fd5b7af3d7c59ec468c9f522222&dn=ReactOS%200.4.0 It is 993MB in total, with the boot CD and Live CD uncompressed (this makes it easy to use with...

Re: PS3
The Wii only has 64MB of RAM, so it might not be the best experience ever, but it would be pretty cool. Probably enough RAM to play Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake 1, Quake 2... maybe enough for OpenOffice.org or Quake 3 even.kevintrooper wrote:Wii running ReactOS!

Re: Windows libraries DO NOT compile with x86_64-unknown-mingw32
What distribution are you on?
If you're on Debian or Ubuntu, you can simply install the mingw32 package. This will install all the i586-mingw32msvc-* tools (generates 32-bit Windows binaries; suitable for ReactOS too).

Re: Nice!
This is phpBB 3.0, the older one was phpBB 2.0.
I like the new and fresh look myself. The old style was so familiar (in use on the 'net since 2001!), it was just... bland.

I think GNU Chess and WinBoard should probably be considered for inclusion in ReactOS, however the programs don't yet work right in ROS (neither 0.3.4 or the latest SVN). It's all GPL; though it should be noted that later versions of WinBoard have the source code included with XBoard (http://ftp.gnu...

1. Currently, ReactOS is in alpha stage. It implements less than half of Windows NT, and is very unstable. Not recommended for general use yet. 2. You can download it and find out (installing in a virtual machine is probably easiest). :) 3. Same as Windows -> double-click the EXE (and hope it works).

Break binary compatibility for faster development?
Sorry for the weird topic title, phpBB limits forced me to rephrase it into something that sounds worse. Basically I ask if a ReactOS fork could hypothetically be maintained that allows for faster development of APIs and such, in which might possibly cost binary incompatibility? Even without Microso...

It's not even a properly-designated proprietary CSS extension, it's completely illegal. If Microsoft complied, they would have made the names -microsoft-scrollbar-* instead of pretending to be proper CSS while not. At any rate, the blue scrollbar makes it impossible to see anything with most of the ...
