Apple products use EFI, not ordinary PC BIOS.
Only certain Linux kernel support EFI (2.6.1 or later).

LLVM, LLVA: Multi Platform Without Re-compilation
There is an open source Virtual Machine software for Linux OS: LLVM and LLVA. Is it possible to port ReactOS kernel to LLVM bytecode?
