Personally, I would prefer to use the free GNU tools, if it's possible.

Re: ReactOS is looking for ARM64 ninjas!

Until a GCC with Aarch64 COFF-PE support will not exist, probably this will stay a dream. In the past, I tried to ask some information about this support into the GCC mailing list, but my message had been ignored. So, I do not know if this is even possible, at the time of writing this post. Sincerely.

Re: Raspberry Pi Support

We need to make a GCC toolchain with target to ARM64 COFF PE first.

Re: MS WinFile OpenSource

I also agree to not include MS Winfile source code.
But if I can say my opinion, nothing blocks us to get the link to the binary of this program, available in the release page, and add it to rapps.

Windows 10 on cpu ARM: executable format.

As some of you probably know, Microsoft announced the support for Windows 10 on ARM CPUs, limited to the latest Qualcomm core, from what I have read. Although it has been declared that it will support execution of x86 instruction with an emulation engine, I'm wondering if there are some information ...

Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward

This would actively stagnate the project. I highly doubt there's anyone who looked at the project and said "hm, I'd love to share my intricate knowledge of NT with this project, but it only targets Server 2003! No deal." The developers need to focus on 2003 right now just to get a stable ...

Re: Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward

"Proposals for REALLY pushing this project forward?" I have two proposals: 1) trash the limit of 2K3/XP API compatibility and support also newer functions. The look and feel could stay on the classic user interface, but since I use XP every day I can tell you that lot of software refuse to...

Adding sound support to card games included in ReactOS

I would like to add some sound support to the card games included in ReactOS, at the moment limited to Solitaire and Spider. Writing the required source code and posting it to JIRA as new feature is the easiest thing: my problem is that I was not able to find some decent sound effects like card flip...

Re: Preinstalled MIDI driver with sound bank on ReactOS?

In my opinion, there could be a much easier way to get a tiny MIDI driver for ReactOS. We could import the OPL2/OPL3 emulation code (one .C source file and one .H include file), originally written for MAME. It's GPLv2 and so it could be imported without troubles. It would not be difficult to impleme...

Migration to a more modern code base

Although this information disappeared in the new website (excuse me, but I really do not like it), target of ReactOS is to be binary compatible with software and device drivers made for Windows Server 2003. In my opinion, it would be worth to try to think to overcome this limitation, at least for th...

Re: Start Menù button icon

Me too, I think that this icon and bitmap with "drunk" orbits look very bad... see: https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-10660 If I can say my opinion, if the "old" logo cannot be resurrected for various reasons, it would be a good idea to ask to some friends/artists the good wil...
