Re: I think fork Media Player Classic as ReactOS Media Player is a good choice
Hey, I responded to your email but by mistake I didn't send it to the list but just to you. I'm writing it here so others can also see what I was saying. The thing is, Media Player Classic is good, nice and lightweight but uses MFC which is enought to make it impossible to include in ReactOS. It is ...

Re: Start menu
The start menu code in windows is fairly self contained so using that won't be so hard to be honest. I also like its code quality.

Of course. It is not reasonable to link reports closed months ago.

Re: Call for volunteers: invalidated issue review
Stop it. The only way to see latest activity in jira is seeing the activity log and getting emails from bug reports. If you spam jira like that we won't be able to keep track wtf is happening, what new reports get opened, what real work towards fixing bugs takes place. It will all be flooded in this...

Not looking like windows 95 is a reasonable goal.

Re: ReactOS-better-than-WindowsXP
not need to to be reinstall as often as Windows XP needs? Often? I have a 8 year old installation of xp that still run properly. Of course, the last years I use it less but it still works. It all comes down to how you use the OS and what kind of things you do. If you keep installing and unistalling...

Re: About ReactOS 0.4
"Excuuuuuse me, Princess!" I don't like the ad-hominem but everything else is right. Jira can't be simple because it needs to contain so many bugs. Many projects use it without any problem. I am member of the 1 man team responsible of the shell and I need to keep track of the list of the ...

Re: light-eyecandy style for ReactOS
Hi,
reactos already supports xp compatible themes ( more or less), so if you could create another version of your theme that works on xp it would be great! (It should also be compatible with reactos).

minwin is not related to any kind of microkernel. it is mostly an effort to reorganize basic user mode dllsPlanetary_Myth wrote: I noticed its tailored to a microkernel instead of their traditional hybrid kernel is that something that the devs will be implementing as well?

Re: Would it be possible to benchmark the Win32 API?
And, I think this is what I would like to find out the most, are there many open source projects which benchmark themselves like that? And are there projects besides Wine and ReactOS that perform tests like the Wine/ReactOS tests do? Generally speaking every programmer should also write test for hi...

Re: Can sb tell something about testman ?
It is right, that when all fields are green, that means, ROS 99% kompatibel to Windows (1% undocumented funkctions ) I think that it would be much more correct to say that greem fields mean that no bugs have been found so far in this area... That means that if new tests are added they may reveal ne...
