Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

What does a country's internet censorship have to do with ReactOS? So by your logic, if the US government were to fund a free open source software project, then the people who work on that project condone all the human rights violations and terrorism committed by the United States? The problem is, ...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

The freedom is a big word with different definition around the world. In particular, freedom is NOT anarchy. And anarchy is not lawlessness. It is the absence of hierarchy in the presence of rules which free humans have given themselves. But that as an aside. I personally base myself on the followi...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

Because the internet is the one space where freedom of expression Hahaha, the best sentence ever. Try to upload a think against the Democracy or for racism or paedophilia, neo-nazism or other illegal thing and you would see if the censorship is here too, but censorship is not always a bad thing and...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

It's not a bad thing for them. It's a security, if the Internet is cut, because of sanction, war, weather, or another big trouble, their connection to the Internet could be usable without need of outside help, and with a total independence. The real problem with that project is the censorship, but ...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

Why everyone is afraid of the Russia influence on the Internet and "Network Rights". It's crazy this propaganda against Russia, when you see the US government and the European Union clearly made the same as Russia and sometimes worst. Of course, I don't speak about "Human Rights"...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

Even if that is correct... (I still don't know and if that's the case I might become MAD...) Well, that's what EGRUL says in no uncertain terms: https://egrulinfo.com/8583363/ The liar claim still is there. Calling someone right wing hardliner just because he is a proud Russian is bollocks only a g...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

So nothing has come out of this. All the fuzz was about the mention of reactos in the minutes of a hearing held by the telecommunications ministry, not even about any real decision made by the Russian government. So there was no there there to begin with. And in November of the very same year, the ...

Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] ReactOS as a second OS in Russian government

it squarely went against all the values a project such as ReactOS stands for in my view, How so? It seems to me to be perfectly natural for a small project to pursue funding and publicity where it can. So much of the criticism here is just about Russia itself. If this were almost any other country ...

Re: Nothing happens after Freeloader timeout

In the boot menu there's a debug to screen option which will help. Isn't it what he used (see pictures)? Well, now at this stage, maybe the debug to file option would work so that I don't need to take pictures of my screen anymore. Meanwhile, I have actually given up testing ReactOS on this particu...

Re: Nothing happens after Freeloader timeout

Try installing ROS with NON ACPI HAL plz. I know that hang from one of my testing notebooks. EDIT: See BUG https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-7773 Tried. This indeed brings me past this point. Now I can actually proceed to a real windows-style bluescreen. Yay! Before you ask me: I have ...

Re: Nothing happens after Freeloader timeout

Thanks! 0.3.16 is old but stable, may you try this build http://iso.reactos.org/bootcd/bootcd-63542-dbg.7z to check if it solves your issues? I tried the latest nightly, r63586, here get a little further, i.e. freedoader actually loads the kernel and the booting process starts, but then ReactOS see...

Re: Nothing happens after Freeloader timeout

Hi! Thanks for testing ReactOS in RH. May you check this link with suggestion in order to help you? Thanks! https://www.reactos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13361 Thanks, but this really doesn't get me anywhere. I get nothing but a blank screen, also with debugging enabled. Well, the link I ga...
