Re: Little idea about 64 bit problem

The whole idea is far away from anything we try to accomplish. A WSL can only address the RAM the OS/Kernel can allocate to it, so the whole idea is not working at all. No 64 bit Kernel, no >4 GB RAM as PAE is no solution. There is no Wine or Linux in Windows, there is no RAMDisk in Windows. OK I co...

The wording you are looking for is PAE and it was not used for extending RAM out of the reasoning you already mentioned. If you have no PAE or don't use...

Re: USB-bootable image generating script?

Re: ReactOS enhancements

Sure, GUI does not break stuff normally, as long as you don't decide to touch the API parts. Use and feel always is a nice addition. The problem with compatibility mainly is a problem on the API and kernel side.

Re: Two decades later...what's the point?

Hmmmm, right you are.... As some people are so ignorant or naive to not understand what Alpha state means and what it means to code a F*CKING operating system from stratch which HAS TO BE compatible to a closed source one... This thread is locked! You got your answers, read them or do not. Understan...

Re: 64 Bit ReactOS

Even though you are not the most likable person in my eyes after your insulting post being a result of your own ignorance...
Not yet, but the work on it is progressing quite well. I expect some first not that stable but running ISOs very soon. x64 ONLY btw, so no WoW in any form is in there for now.

Re: Running ReactOS explorer.exe on Windows 7 64bit

There were some experiments with it. But as first, you need a 64 bit explorer from ROS, not 32 bit.
