Re: Boot WinXP 32-bit on UEFI 32-bit
None of your image links in your OP does work after your edit. I will not allow the edit that way. Fix it and I will, otherwise I will disapprove in three days which will remove the whole thread. That's the problem if someone edits the OP after the thread is already running.

Re: Any luck with Ryzen/Radeon R9 2x0 video cards.
Right now it won't be a replacement for anything. But we can discuss this further as soon as SMP, AMD64 and a few more branches are done and in main tree.

Re: Is there any software like Rufus for Linux?
That was the question all the time. What Rufus feature does the OP need? Getting an image onto an USB stick? See Aeneas's reply. Sure, there are several ways Rufus allows to select, but one is DD.

Re: Reactos Slow compiling
1st build will take a while, but later if you just change a few lines the build is way faster and no, there is no way execpt a newer pc with more and faster cores to speed things up.

Re: ReactOS on new hardware
It might run on modern hardware like the one you mentioned, BUT only with some forks integrated. UEFI and some ACPI stuff is still not in main tree, but most likely needed for running at all. BTW, no SMP yet, too. So dont forget what I wrote into my signature ^^
UWP apps do not work yet.

Re: Can i make my own ReactOS Fork then make it propietary?
Well, it is what it is... Free software is no toy the authors spend their limited free time on just that everyone can do with it whatever he wants. Everything in this world has rules. Same would apply if you have legal access to MS source code. You signed more than one NDA and other things that prov...

Re: Accelerating ReactOS Adoption
Of course already released versions are non moving targets, but we can't just stay on NT5.2 forever. We have to move on. Especially now that even a simple Wine sync is almost impossible to relalize without us moving on. Thus we now will move on. Regarding the server is way more complicated fact... S...

Re: Can i make my own ReactOS Fork then make it propietary?
Of course you can use ReactOS in a private and commercial environment. None of the common open source license disallows to use the product anywhere. But you can NOT just take the code (GPL, LGPL, BSD or whatever else license we have in our code in all the different parts) and relicense it for propri...

Re: Accelerating ReactOS Adoption
OK, I need to address both here. @Hamguy and @dizt3mp3r: @Hamguy: So you think it's a good idea to completely halt the current state and replace it with Linux? Even if you now say no, this is what you suggest even if you don't know yet. So… First regarding your "Functional Preview" phase: ...

Re: Question about full name rule for contributing
https://github.com/reactos/reactos/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md https://reactos.org/wiki/Submitting_Patches Both say what we need and why we do so. We had way too many questionable commits with even more questionable sources to allow any exceptions without giving us a reason first. If you don't want ...

Re: reactos+msys2 build error
As I said, there is absolutely zero support for building ReactOS on anything else than our environment! Either the GCC in there or MSVC out of it. If it fails for you, fix it. If it fails on our Build Environment, feel free to report it. There are more than just a few reasons why we chose to make ou...

Re: Business idea - workstation with preinstalled ReactOS
Btw, regarding using ROS on real hardware.... We were on CLT 2025 last weekend and for the 1st time ever showed ROS running on real hardware on ALL four PCs we had there. UEFI is WIP SMP is WIP AMD64 is WIP All waaay too close to be ready for adding to main tree to call it a trick or joke or anythin...

Re: Business idea - workstation with preinstalled ReactOS
The developers do this as a hobby, yes. Why do they do this as a hobby? Because they have a real work and a real life. You DO NOT force the devs to do anything. You can be happy if they spend their spare time to work on ReactOS. If you want to force someone, find a way to find devs that we can pay t...

Yeah we currently have some problems with our build infrastructure. The most recent builds are all in here. https://iso.reactos.org/
