Re: Linux and Mac software support for ReactOS, possible??

Even most GNU apps are available. In that case of fighting against portability other devs just ported them. Project gnuwin32 is not the most recent one, but these guys ported MAAAANY GNU tools to Windows. If you love runtimes, cygwin is your friend. And there are others porting the tools too. BUT: T...

Re: Bot proofing Jira and the Forum

I am the spam filter right now. Spam filters are like every automation, they tend to fail sooner or later. Right now I am the only filter that could fail. Except the rules we have added: Every new user has to have a specific number of approved posts before he can post without my approval. Some posts...

Re: I finally figured out how to make Win7 not suck; might be ready to say goodbye to XP

Problem I see here is the well known fact that there is no security without the user being at least a bit obstructed. Security always means that the ease of use is impacted. In my opinion Windows does a good job with a in between solution. Vista was terrible there, but Win7+ does a nice job and remo...

Following the explaination of words like "Хохол" used by towerr in a non hair style context and some more explaination of the wordings used, I speak out some holidays of 14 days. I can't and won't hook with the guys who explained it to me to decipher all of his postings, but this single one is enoug...

Well, Off topic. A PM or a report of such post is more useful then hijacking a thread. I am no native russian speaker and thus I can help, but only if you report it.

Re: Linux and Mac software support for ReactOS, possible??

Same way Linux can do it (sort of). We need a compatibility layer for Linux (just the same way as MS already provided one for Windows 10) and one for MacOS X. There is none I know of for Windows architecture yet, but a Linux one there is: http://www.darlinghq.org/

Re: ReactOS name

The name is no global once set variable. It's everywhere. Thus you need to check ALL of the code for it. And if you plan to release that code then, do not touch the copyright headers unless you want to be sued. ^^

Re: ReactOS-0.4.11.iso
