Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?

There was no tricks - the ranking is updated periodically (every 15 minutes).

Re: Would you donate just 3 minutes to the project?

What happens if I put this message on my forum (some 300.000 users)?
Would that be against the rules of competition or not?

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS !

Ehm, not all the Christians are celebrating Christmas on 25. December.

So, count with some 500 million people celebrating Christmas two weeks latter, making the Santa's life easier by giving him a two week break to prepare the next round :D

Re: Built-in soundfont support for MIDI?

MIDI loopback devices are like virtual cables to connect two MIDI applications (MIDI Out from one application to the MIDI In of the other one).
Nothing useful in the case of ReactOS...

Re: Re:

Clicking on ads should help to cover more server costs. So no malice was intended. I know none was intended. I just had a "my gosh that wasn't the right thing to say" moment when you said "look more". Those are personal (sex?) ads we're talking about. That smiley didn't help either... No offense is...

Re: Inapropriate Google ads on ROS website

I will not block the ads, as our ReactOS devs are hopefully covering some server costs from the ads.
It is just that they need to setup some filters on the ads (as far as I can remember, there is an option for filtering on Google AdSense).

Re: Developing in pascal language?

Found the GUI builder - it's name is VISG:
http://mrhx.ucoz.com/load/1
It can generate Pascal code for GUI based just on Win32 API calls.

Re: Developing in pascal language?

Hi, Did you take a look at KOL/MCE library for Delphi? If you use KOL/MCE instead of VCL, you will get pure Win32API-only application, without VCL overhead. There was also some GUI designer that can produce code for many languages (incl. Delphi and FreePascal) in pure Win32API. If I find it again, I...

Well, none of decent antiviruses are using usermode hooking, as that isn't reliable if we know that more than 30% of modern malware are using drivers for their activities. For your convenience, please run GMER rootkit detector on a PC running some antivirus program, and you will see which APIs are h...

Hi there, Most of the anti-virus programs (except of the mentioned ClamAV) are installing drivers in order to hook some of the API messages. So, if ReactOS still do not have Windows-compatible driver installing/loading procedure, you will not be able to run anti-virus programs on ReactOS. There are ...

Quick translation (I'we learned Russian in school): I would advice the developers (of ReactOS) to take more attention on supporting RAID, specially to nvidia nForce 4 chipsets, used by a good half of computer users. {one sentence missing, I can't understand it}. Also, the installation of WinXP - tha...

System Restore is very bad solution in the case of malware. It will do more bad than good.
Thats why I use Virtual Machines, and I would use VM even with sandbox-ROS.

I'll check Winpooh, thanks for the info.

Making a sandbox-ROS version

Hi, Let's explain why I've started this thread. I'm a malware-hunter, collecting malware on the net, and submitting my findings to antivirus labs. Some of the techniques used to collect malware are using honeypots, surfing sites that spreads malware etc. After collecting some samples, I go for prima...
