Microsoft wrote NTFS drive.ROS is (will be) driver compatible so use this driver.

What is the much bigger benefit of using NTFS,and not XFs,JFS,Reiser?Yes it is native windows fs,but not so good one,and those specification problems...Is ROS intended to be a line by line clone?

I want to see ROS become usable enough to install it ,browse with kmeleon ,play warcraft,use eclipse ,and play movies...Writing here is my contribution to ROS.I make discussion on how ROS will grow up to that point.

Speed ...Hm ,why not use Win 3.0 it is faster than XP?I think most of us need stability.

Now when in 0.3 we will see much better networking ,so how you plan to avoid malware?The nt architecture has some problems that make this easier?Are you gona break full compatibility with the NT ,or what?
