Re: Two decades later...what's the point?
I trust in Reactos and i trust of the lots of new young guys, that are keen on Reactos ! Fine, that the website got a modern "style", yes this update was great ! Think of that: the more skilled guys come, the faster Reactos will be "ready" ! 5 years is a good guess for beta, but let it be 10, so wh...

Re: Two decades later...what's the point?
I don't think the reason is this. Countries like Russia, China and others similar don't care at all what the occidental corporations wish. They do what they want.

Re: Two decades later...what's the point?
I am indeed very surprised that countries like Russia and China didn't finance heavily ReactOS, to get quickly an open and independent OS ready, spyware free and binary compatible with Windows. A few millions $ and it would have been ready since years ago. An open OS binary compatible with Windows, ...

Re: ReactOS 0.4.11 Problems with installation on real hardware
I have took al look. There are some workarounds to try, but I don't understand why the live CD works with the same hardware. Therefore it should be not because of the USB, unless the boot CD contains different USB drivers than the live CD. If they contains the same drivers, it would guess that it is...

Re: ReactOS 0.4.11 Problems with installation on real hardware
Now I could upload the images (but I don't see them in the preview here), and I have an update: If I disconnect the USB mouse, ReactOS proceeds a little more with the startup, but it stops and freezes anyway: https://postimg.cc/8F93fRk0 https://postimg.cc/8F93fRk0 The strange thing is that in the sa...

ReactOS 0.4.11 Problems with installation on real hardware
Hello everyone, this is my first test with ReactOS. This is my report: On my newer PC, motherboard Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 (Chipset AMD990FX + AMD SB950): - React OS (normal installer, not debug version) can be installed, but ReactOS can't complete to start. Starting it with the "screen" mode option,...

Re: Are GPT disks and SSD drives supported?
Thank you. I will see what I can do with my hardware.
I have read that also the NTFS file system is still not actually supported. But since Linux supports it since a long time, and the code of Linux is open, why the is the same code not implemented (or ported) in ReactOS?

Are GPT disks and SSD drives supported?
Hello everybody. I am very interested on ReactOS since a long time. I wanted ask whether GPT partitions and SSD drives are supported. Looking at the installer, it looks that GPT disks are not yet supported. Soon I would like to arrange some hardware to test React OS. The problem is that the support ...
