Why Vimeo? YouTube is perfectly fine.
YouTube doesn't support all CC licenses (= "stole" your contents).

[BREAKING] CERN’s Microsoft Alternative project

The initial objective was to investigate the migration from commercial software products (Microsoft and others) to open-source solutions, so as to minimise CERN’s exposure to the risks of unsustainable commercial conditions. By doing so, the laboratory is playing a pioneering role among public rese...

Re: Should I make a Pinball game for ReactOS?

Why "reinvent the weel" ? It could be more interesting to test existing open source pinball games to ROS, IMHO: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pinballnext/ ...or to port from other platforms: https://sourceforge.net/projects/pinball/ Last but not least, as always, it would be even better to involv...

Re: I think fork Media Player Classic as ReactOS Media Player is a good choice

I think for ReactOS its enough to have two built-in players: mplay32.exe which uses MCI API, and amovie.ocx thingy which uses DirectShow API and runs within rundll32 context. Other more advanced third-party players can be installed from external sources. I barelly agree: it could be better to have ...

Re: Read this if you've found software useful to ReactOS

What about gdipp? Maybe ReactOS can use it's code somehow? https://code.google.com/p/gdipp/ Of course would be great: GDIPP is a replacement of Windows’ GDI text rendering that brings beautiful, anti-aliased text similar to that on OS X and Linux. The project originated as the relaunch of GDI++. Th...

So I think fork Media Player Classic as ReactOS Media Player is a good choice.
...but MPC needs directshow codecs (that are NOT efficient for the system performances).

There are *ways* better choices, IMHO:

Yeah, but we are not OS/2 either.
Windows derives from OS/2, anyway.

Re: Universal audio driver

It would be *MUTCH* more interesting to "port" (read collaborate with ) UNIAUD: https://trac.netlabs.org/uniaud UNIAUD is a generic OS/2-eCS-ArcaOS MMPM audio driver that supports the vast majority of audio hardware. Based on the Linux ALSA project, it is designed to address the needs of enterprises...

Re: kX Project Audio drivers open sourced

(sorry to revive this old 3ad, but I don't wanna open a new one.) The problem isn't the license of a 3rd-party software itself, but the "stealing of code" instead of establishing - in true opensource philosophy - profitable collaborations among devs. So - as always - the suggestion for supporters is...
