Re: MS-DOS 3.3 refuses to install

Hi guys, sorry for holding off on this, was busy all week. I'm trying to install MS-DOS 3.3 to deal with Windows 1.4, which has issues with later versions of MS-DOS(and ReactOS is far too unstable for what I need to use Win 1.4 for.) Anyways, I've done everything you guys asked and it still isn't wo...

MS-DOS 3.3 refuses to install

I figured you'd guys would know better than me. I'm trying to install MS-DOS 3.3 on a VMware machine(not 3.31, 3.30), and I have it set so that it has a size of 32 megabytes. The problem is that this machine doesn't seem to realize the hard drive is there, no matter what I do. It keeps telling me "I...

ROS debugging sessions?

Do the ReactOS teams do, for lack of better terminology, debugging sessions where they work on very "minor" features that help with debugging(like crash dumps) or work exclusively on bugs and nothing else for long periods of time before release? If not, would that become a thing during beta to raise...

Re: Will the ReactOS installer boot from a SATA non-Optical Drive?

Well, in theory, yes, since it's just a plain old hard drive that would be supposedly mapped to the optical drive instead of the actual optical drive. I don't actually know much about how this works so I may just be totally in the wrong here, however with my limited info, I think it getting to boot ...

Re: Let the hype begin

Referring to someone else's work without so much acknowledgement as a link to the web site you stole it from shows a lack of culture. " Let us stand on each others' shoulders; not each others' toes. "--Dennis Allison, co-founder of Dr. Dobb's Journal OH, so you're just plain out insulting me now? T...

Re: Let the hype begin

Shadow volumes are quite possibly the best possible Windows feature ever(and could lead to a ReactOS updater, hint hint please add one I'm tired of downloading ISOs when I want to test a daily build), and there is a Linux distro that uses Shadow Volumes. What has me hyped for BtrFS is the fact said ...

Your most wanted feature for the 2019 Hackfest?

This entire thread is a fucking mess. And the intent was to keep this thread as alive as possible without necroing it so I wouldn't have to spam a new thread every year, thus I thought "next" would be enough to suffice it. It appears, once again, my idea is not what the moderators think should happe...

Re: Your most wanted feature for the next Hackfest?

You know that the hackfest is over, do ya? If you will kindly look into the title, you'll clearly see that it now says "Your most wanted feature for the next Hackfest." This is for the next hackfest, as Purple has said. Thank you for at least trying to clear up the situation. Also... HybridCDs to r...

Re: Your most wanted feature for the next Hackfest?

...and the hijacking rule. Yeah, this thread has been hijacked. Can we PLEASE return to the original intent and figure out more things we want for Hackfest but want to make sure are actually pretty doable first? And for the love of god, I'm not the only guy in existence supposed to be doing counter...

Re: Aspects of Vista/7/8/10 that should NOT be ported to React

metro apps there are a lot more Aspects of windows 10 that should NOT be ported to React that bug me Well call me stupid but I liked the metro apps idea. Compatibility would be cool, just... don't implement the actual metro crap and just only have metro compatibility. Also, I liked Windows 10's mul...

Re: Your most wanted feature for the next Hackfest?

I see the developers disagree. I'm guessing that this was a mistake. Seeing as this thread is 4 pages, with the first post being not even 3 weeks old. I'd love to reply but I do not know how to respond to that. That's just obscene... anyway you could also just have it shipped to a local UPS or Amaz...

Now doing post-necromancy?
Uh... No, the last post besides this one was yesterday... If anything, I committed post necromancy because I didn't notice how long ago it was. Plus I felt the thread was kinda important, but uh... I see the developers disagree.

...provide information why we could or could not do this next feature so we don't get swamped with suggestions that simply won't work or are too hard. (I think by "we", Missingno50 means the ReactOS developers.) I didn't mean to be sarcastic in my reply to you, PurpleGurl. If I was acquainted with ...
