Re: Advertisements on this forum

If ReactOS wants to gain some money, they should look into Handshake airdrops. They have already donated 300K to Debian and 100K to Trisquel, plus last year they donated 400K to GNOME and 1 million to FSF. All they have to do is add the airdrop to their GitHub repo. https://github.com/handshake-org/...

Re: ReactOS on HelloTux?

In case you didn't already know on chat, ReactOS is now officially on HelloTux. https://www.hellotux.com/reactos They will be donating $4 (USD) to each ReactOS item that is sold. Also, they wrote a short blog about ReactOS, too. https://www.hellotux.com/ReactOS_shirts_and_sweaters They will be makin...

Re: Last LibreOffice portable for Windows XP

I am surprised that anyone is still working on OpenOffice. Almost all the OpenOffice developers moved to LibreOffice a few years ago. i think there is only 1 or 2 developers still at OpenOffice with maybe a few code submissions from community members here and there. All the updates have mainly been ...

Re: ReactOS involving in 'GSoC' like event concerning documentation?

Yes, season of docs is separate from GSOC. I think it is a good idea since making professional documentation can be hard and time consuming. It runs on a different timeline, so they both don't interfere with each other. I assume google pays the writters just like they pay students in GSOC, however ...

Re: ReactOS on HelloTux?

After 1.5 months of work, I am pleased to announce that HelloTux just sent me the draft copies of the ReactOS shirts. First image: https://postimg.cc/mh3HwP3H Second image: https://postimg.cc/Nybn4XDk I think they look good. Please note the quality may have been slightly degraded posting to that sit...

Re: Will ReactOS eventually support 16-bit Windows apps?

ReactOS has a process called NTVDM, which allows ReactOS to run 16-bit apps and games. I don't know how completed it is, but I know quite of bit of 16-bit games were running with it. No one is really focused on it right now, as everyone seems to be more focused on fixing MM/CC, 64-bit support, USB/P...

Re: Is it okay, if I upload a pre-configured ReactOS Virtual Machine to archive.org?

I don't see why not.

Ultimately, it might be better for them to integrate Narabot into their GitHub respo so it can just be done automatically, but for now I say go for it.

If it helps, I am currently trying to get ReactOS on HelloTux. I am just waiting for responses and drafts from the developers.

What is wrong with https://shop.spreadshirt.de/reactos/ ?
I think their intention is to link their shirts through your shop so that way they can buy them their, too.

Re: ReactOS on HelloTux?

From the developers: "Hi Alex, Yes, why not!? ReactOS is free software too, so I'm in. Currently, we can make t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies for you. No cost on you, and we can donate part of the price to the project. What do you think? Is it possible to add us somehow to the Shop se...

I can contact HelloTux and see if we can get ReactOS a part of HelloTux, if it is alright with the ReactOS developers.

ReactOS on HelloTux?

I was wondering if anyone thought about trying to get ReactOS on HelloTux. Recently, The Binary Times podcast got on HelloTux and it made me think if ReactOS could try to get on it, too. They are pretty Linux specific, but the developers are pretty nice and I feel like they would be flexible with Re...

Re: Google Summer of Code 2019 Ideas

What about multi-processing support? XP sp3, as far as I know, supported up to 2 cores. This might be a good start for a gsoc and have a more mature developer finish it later to support more then 2. Supporting 2 cores is exactly the same amount of work as supporting 32. Or actually, it may be more ...

Re: Google Summer of Code 2019 Ideas

I think the kernel test suites and the win32k test suites should be priority. I feel like it is small enough for gsoc students and it will have many future benefits, especially with reducing BSODs. What about multi-processing support? XP sp3, as far as I know, supported up to 2 cores. This might be ...
