As far as drivers that you see as acceptable in Device Manager
one is supposed to look for XP compatible drivers.
I wonder where I should look for drivers to try of the category
that are loaded earlier in the process?
GOOGLE I guess

Re: Driver boming
If a driver is successfully installed in the part of the boot sequence before the desktop appears does that count as a successful driver load as far as device manager is concerned, or is it possible that additional deivers may need to be installed for a particular component? I HOPE I STATED THIS CLE...

Re: Driver boming
After successfully installing ROS if possible A person must install specific special Final drivers for hardware items. This is not what I will be asking about. Long before the desktop is loaded a number Of lower level drivers are loaded. Some bomb On my system. Are these lower level drivers Modified...

Defending Reactos
What has been implemented in REACTOS is very good. What needs to be done is work at the lower end. Such as getting USB drives working. And this problem with FREELOADER bombing which I'm trying to trace. These two things alone drive away new people who might otherwise help out. More effort is needed ...

Driver boming
A new subject: I took a LIVE DVD and made a LIVE USB. I did not try to plug in the USB and boot from it which is known to fail. Instead I used Bootit Bare Metal to completely bypass ROS and copy the LIVE USB directly to a partition on my HD. I booted the LIVE PARTITION which started to work very wel...

Could one say that the virtualized BIOS
isn't being virtualized accurately.
A possible support call to the VM
people.

Re: CIRRUS ONE freeloader question
Thank you very much. Last week unfortunately my last PC with a serial port died. But my friend will be able to test this I think. If his PC is one of the possibly 20% that sees the problem. Running on a VM what do you get the real bios or a virtual bios? Is there a way I can communicate directly wit...

Re: CIRRUS ONE freeloader question
This problem manifests itself when a person tries to boot REACTOS on real hardware. It is an OS and OS's are supposed to run on real hardware. And it does but with some difficulties. The FREELOADER problem is straightforward freeloader runs once only during the boot cycle. The nature of it's bombing...

Re: CIRRUS ONE freeloader question
Thank you very much. Another person spent several hours trying to get serial debugging turned on at this level in REACTOS but never succeeded. He tried rebuilding with that TRACE thingy turned on. We need help doing this. This problem is in FREELOADER which is in very beginning of the boot sequence ...

Here are extracts from my previous posts in this thread.
