NTFS debate
You know, I think the NTFS->ReiserFS4 converter or something like that would be really cool. I do think that NTFS write support is something that ReactOS (and Linux) will always be playing catch-up against. As discussed in the other threads, ReiserFS4, because of its metadata, could represent any of...

No need to get upset, guys. We should keep it civil. I don't see anything wrong with a little constructive criticism or debate. That said, I kinda like the curren ReactOS logos, though I'm sure there are ways to improve on them. IMHO, adding a touch of color wouldn't hurt, I think. Too much will mak...

DOSBOX
What kind of extensions are really needed that can't be supplied by DosBox? I'm not intimately familar with it, just curious. Does anyone use DOS for any really important apps anymore? I always thought people just used it for playing the old skool games games (like the old Sierra games from before h...

PPC version
I was thinking about this the other day... at the very least, it's an interesting idea. I don't own a Mac, but I used to. I wonder how much of the ReactOS code is CPU dependent, and how much trouble porting it would be. I'm sure it's not going to be a target for a while, but still might be something...

Wish lists & basic features
I guess it's important to know what we all want out of ReactOS, but IMHO I think we should be asking ourselves at this time "what features minimum do I need in order to put ReactOS to work?" rather than "what features do I expect from my dream OS?" I'm sure we could dream forever...

So Does linux it hides in libc not the kernel the ls command calls libc that does the wildcards on most linuxs(this still can be embeded in the ls command). This is driver construction nothing more. Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post, but it sounds like what I said. What I mean is, I heard that i...

Needed features
Personally I'd love to use ReactOS on my "entertainment center" computer. I basically use it to play Divx videos and split my network connection between my family's computers. So my list is: -Network, Video, & Audio driver support -Network support (with DHCP and PPPOE) -Codec support M...

File systems
I was wondering, does anyone know if ReactOS will use the same filesystem driver system as the Windows family? I've heard that Windows filesystems have the directory listing / query "code" (ie for wildcards) built into the filesystem driver rather than the shell or list program. If that's ...
