Re: FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS DEAD

Actually, I was referring more to the hormonal aspects. Supposedly, chocolate helps the emotional side of PMS. Theobromine might help regulate hormones in humans, while it is toxic to certain other mammals such as dogs. However, the password thing is interesting. And by extrapolation, it could be t...

Re: FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS DEAD

I don't understand that, could you maybe give me a bit more context? i was trolling there, i got banned by angry admins but some admins pretty much appreciated this comedy so they lifted the banned and let me continue on trolling and there's a part 2 of it actually http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewt...

Re: FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS DEAD

If you think locking a forum thread because everyone except you is fed up with it, is "freedom of speech is dead", then I suggest you develop a bit more empathy. Programmers are cruel, direct and honest beings who will probably hurt your feelings if you ask them for their opinion. If you want a pre...

just check the lastest build

im really impress with the improvements, this is definitely one of the most innovative things that ever happen in the open-source community, it'll really help so many programming enthusiast understand how window OS works, its a shame that we were not able to bring this into the education curriculum ...

Re: LINUX ux-designing debate

In my humble opine, everyone who doesn't use Xfce is a masochist and most likely blind. im currently taking my marketing major in college and im really enthusiastic in studying the market indutry's response to the newest OSs like chromebooks vs mac vs windows thats well focus on market segmentation...

Re: LINUX ux-designing debate

Enquiry on some Linux DE team forums, I don't think you'll get enough help on NT reimplementation project forums :-) Off the top of my head, KDE and elementaryOS projects put a high value on proper design and interface guidelines. please give m...

Re: creating an operating sytem(im not a programmer)

There are a lot of debates on this subject. Because I have a fetish for explaining things I'll try to detail the field. There aren't a lot of solid definitions of a kernel, but the usual bare-bones definition is, it must handle interrupts (signals to the processor, like power-on, etc), synchronize t...

Re: linux community

Because they want to make linux distros, they just use the linux kernel. When people will want to make Minix distros, then they'll take minix kernel to do that.
why? isn't it bad to take the kernel? license problems?
Because minix is not linux.
i know but why can't they try o...

Re: linux community

Mostly driver issues. X11 was recently up and working. The core OS is pretty solid. ReactOS isn't even remotely stable yet. Duplicating NT is far more complex than duplicating Unix. Pretty much any kid in their basement can make a Unix, ReactOS is as far as anyone's gotten to an NT re-implementatio...

Re: linux community

Uh, yeah, they're linux distros because it's the linux community. There are plenty of FreeBSD distros too, if you're interested in those. The FreeBSD distros are way cooler than the linux ones. While linux distros are just boring generic swap-out of parts, FreeBSD distros are really experimental, l...
