Re: Succesful install MSI K9AG Neo-F
You are wrong in assuming I would be frustrated. I just asked a question, which was clearly stated. The install on my desktop (this thread) was like the title here too suggests, was succesful. I know what alpha stage means. Thanks for your reply.

To put it bluntly: If ReactOS won't support newer hardware, it'll be dead in the water...

Re: Succesful install MSI K9AG Neo-F
I messed a bit with it tonight, and it seems both USB root hub and Ethernet shared the same IRQ (10). I did a few attempts at installing Ethnernet drivers, but the installer failed. Going to device manager and choosing update driver and pointing it to the correct directory worked. When I attempted t...

Question regarding versions of Windowsdrivers
Hi To put this in a context; I don't like the newer Windows OS's. I prefer XP. How does ReactOS handle the different versions of drivers for the different versions of Windows? Newer hardware have no drivers for XP. Going forward, ReactOS must support these newer machines. I'm looking to upgrade my l...

Succesful install MSI K9AG Neo-F
I haven't posted on here for a long time. Just wanted to mention that install of 0.4.6 was succesful on this MOBO. Initially I had BSOD, but disabled USB and Ethernet in bios. After install, I could enable both. USB doesn't work, but shows up in device manager. Since USB don't work, I can't install ...

Re: New hardware (no XP support) will it work?
Thanks guys
Will probably have a go at it. Really don't like W7 or 8. I almost succeded in configuring wifi in Arch Linux. Both graphics and wifi have Linux drivers from Intel btw.

New hardware (no XP support) will it work?
Hi all,
I've got a new HP Spectre 13 x2. Graphics is Intel 4200 which doesn't have any drivers for XP. The ethernet (wi-fi only) is Intel AC-7260 seems to not have XP drivers also. Could I get these to work in ReactOS?
thanks (and good work
)

Re: Install attempt HP nx6110
XP has 14 processes and 160 threads running (it's a very stripped down install). It's the ethernetdrivers that causes the slightly higher DPC load. Before installing ehternet it was at 20-40µS. At that point, USB seemed to have the most impact. After installing ethernet, the load seemed approximatel...

Re: Install attempt HP nx6110
Do you have any tips to share about how you did that? Let's see if I remember... It pops up 6 "install device" instances when booting ROS. The first AND the last was ethernet. I think I at one point skipped the first (press ESC) and when the other came up I browsed to a CD that I burned w...

Re: Install attempt HP nx6110
Ok, I added the first debug log file that I posted in this thread. That was ROS version 0.3.16. After reading some more on the forum I found that version was considered old, and that a newer would magically resolve all issues ;) So I tried to install drivers using this older version, and then when I...

I set freeldr.ini to Options=/DEBUGPORT=FILE and afterwards pulled the HDD out and put it in my desktop and just copied the file.Webunny wrote:Did you use the debug screen or serial (null modem) cable to get your bugreport?
