Re: NTFS Versions
Because microsoft's NTFS driver can't be included legally, people have just been testing the version included with windows xp/2003. It's kind of a non issue atm anyway until ReactOS becomes more stable and feature complete. And by the time ReactOS reaches the point of being more viable for daily use...

Re: [SUGGESTION] Join the EU-FOSSA (Free and Open Source Software Auditing) project
I could be wrong but it kinda seems like this would more be targeting mature software that is already in active use.

Re: what's difference between fastfat and fastfat_new
i don't believe you will learn anything about exfat from this driver as even microsoft use a totally different driver for exfat. To your question fastfat_new should be the microsoft open source driver and fastfat is the original reactos implementation. ReactOS currently does not support exfat. I thi...

Re: EPIC WIN!
Seems i was mistaken hardware OpenGL fails with ATI drivers i didn't realize you have to manually select the driver AFAIK you shouldn't actually override the graphics renderer with ones provided by GPU driver, it tends to cause issues and these should be already set as "System Default". T...

Re: hd audio getting in the way of real hardware testing
The driver literally hard locks my computer including the new version. I will try to get a debug log but a backtrace seems impossible currently.
Please consider not including this driver in the 0.4.11 release or newer release builds until the issues with it are resolved.

Re: Target Kernel
It's funny this being talked about when hardware driver compatibility is improving, changing now would be a waste of all the developers time that was invested. Only once xp hardware support is stable it would make sense to move on. But what may help the eventual transition would be if WDF & UDF ...

Re: Help with ReactOS on real hardware.
Windows 10 drivers will not work, however the chipset for your network and sound is Realtek based so you may be in luck for them. Realtek still makes xp drivers for sound and networking. Last i checked the sound drivers don't work yet but the network drivers often do so you can try them. https://www...

hd audio getting in the way of real hardware testing
The hd audio driver included with ReactOS is really causing problems for doing testing on real hardware. It's not too bad if you only have hd audio integrated on the motherboard and can disable it in the bios but otherwise it pretty much guarantees a crash or bsod if you have hdmi or other devices t...

Re: Can you help me understand ...
Your primary use case seems to be gaming. ReactOS isn't yet really stable for this. Not exactly, but my kids are good at video games and prefer a decent graphics card when visiting. Is it a concern to anyone here that open source support is provided by AMD for it's products when running Linux, but ...

Re: When will ReactOS x64 available?
Under the current development modality, probably never. However, my hope is a shift in development initiative will come. There is nothing wrong with the developers, there aren't enough of them, and they lack time to do a lot of the work. Interest by a corporate or academic sponsor could be helpful....

Re: When will ReactOS x64 available?
Given the current status located on the wiki page i'm pretty certain the 64-bit built will boot to desktop long before v1.0. https://reactos.org/wiki/AMD64 But who knows how long it will take to reach the same level as the 32-bit build. The 64bit build should make it easier to target newer systems t...

AMD Radeon bug reports
Should i make separate bug reports on different hardware and driver that behaves differently? I currently have a bug report for the latest driver and the AMD Radeon HD 8570D here: https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-14927 I have another system with video chipset from before the AMD & ATI merger...
