Re: ODBC implementation, ADO not working (repost)
Not working, tried it. If i run the silent install, the installer suddenly exists. No warnings. If i run the normal install, i get a non resizable window on screen and the installer hangs. This non resizable window started appearing in ReactOS 0.4, in 0.2 it just used to report a wrong operating sys...

Check this project out in IndieGogo... such a shame :(
Hello, everybody. I noticed that, for some time, the donations haven't been going very steady for ReactOS. And, in a coffee break, i started checking out IndieGoGo for "other projects", to see how they're doing. And... to my surprise guess what i found : https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/...

Re: ODBC implementation, ADO not working (repost)
PS: Is there a way to access a network drive in ROS ? I cannot currently transfer files between my PC and ROS in the virtual machine, unless i upload to a HTTP server i own and dowload with Firefox in ROS. Can anything be done so i can transfer the 300 MB Visual Studio 6 installation kit to ROS ? I ...

Re: ODBC implementation, ADO not working (repost)
app suddely exits with no message This means that there is no information in debug log as well? Nope :( The onlly thing i can do is install VB6 on ROS and run the uncompiled app, directly from source code. The line of code which will cause the error will provide sufficient information what goes wro...

Re: ODBC implementation, ADO not working (repost)
Of course i did :) I've reinstalled it quite a few times, since i often download the daily builds. On the other hand, even with a clean, fresh install of ROS, after i manage to install ODBC and ADO with MDAC 2.8 (modified kit) and then Microsoft JET 4.0 SP1. The application that uses ADO suddely exi...

Re: ODBC implementation, ADO not working (repost)
Well... tried it. Had some interesting results... I started with MDAC 2.0... no success whatsoever. The installer gets stuck, claiming the ADVPACK.DLL could not be accessed. I can only "retry" or cancel. If i select "Custom setup" and skip some components (i really don't remembre...

Re: ODBC implementation, ADO not working (repost)
This is a very good idea. I did know that 7zip can extract SFX cabs from MS, WinRar 3.71 which i currently use does not I'll give that MDAC Setup a try and keep you posted !

ODBC implementation, ADO not working (repost)
Hello everybody. A while ago i posted a topic regarding three problems encountered in ReactOS. One of them was the infamous ODBC. After some research, i managed to get ODBC working on ReactOS by copying specific files from Windows XP. Still, there's another problem. ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) is not...

Re: Just providing links Re: scrrun.dll
Well, i tested the 62960 release. scrrun.dll workes well OOB, but... there's a "but" :) The app. installer fails to create a shortcut on the desktop. This does not even work with original scrrun.dll from Windows XP. The code that fails in the installer is one of these lines, the first one ...

Re: Fedback / Questions: ODBC + Printing support in ReactOS
Hey, there, thanks for the quick reply. Well, i didn't hurry with bug reports, i'm sure the bugtracker is filled with "Adobe Photoshop won't work! ReactOS sucks!" rushed up reports :) So, i thought i might discuss somethings first. It's very good news that ODBC and ADO are inherited from W...

Re: Control Box Double Click to close Window ?
Well, of course it shouldn't be a priority One must first build the house, then fit it with windows... Still, i saw that no one observed this and wanted this feature to be known.

Control Box Double Click to close Window ?
Hello, everybody. Some of you probably read my other post on this (in other forums), so sorry for repeating myself. Wouldn't it be nice if ReactOS had a function that closes the window when its controlbox is double-clicked ? This used to be the way to close windows in Win 3.11 and it still works in ...
