I found that using a Dropbox account is much easier when transferring files to/from ROS and Host. My throughput is very low 8KBps but much easier and less of a hassle.

I installed FF on ROS, connected to Dropbox, saved a bookmark, sored my credentials and I have easy access to my files.

Two things. You're in something of a no man's land with respect to testing on OSX. None of the currently active developers use OSX as a development platform so we don't have a point of reference to compare to. Second, 0.3.16 shipped with a couple of "known" bugs, including one involving USB devices...
