Re: Is it true that the cooperation between WINE and ReactOS is tough?

I know that ReactOS devs have contributed to WINE on several occasions, but I cannot speak to whether or not WINE devs ever look at ReactOS code or contribute to the project directly.

Re: BootCD setup

Can you elaborate a little? Because you can download a "BootCD setup iso image" which is an "installer" right now. But I think there may be a misunderstanding as to what you're actually looking for.

Does it work on XP? I see that the game was released for Windows 95/98.

Re: ReactOS for a Build Server?

It's probably also worth pointing out that currently ROS only uses a single core and is 32-bit, thus effectively limited to 4 GB of RAM.

I'm not a dev, but I would guess you can find your answer somewhere in here: https://github.com/reactos/reactos/tree ... nl/ke/i386

Re: Disk Drives vs. Mount Points ?.

ROS had better support Volume Mount Points:
Volume Mount Points are supported from NTFS 3.0, which was introduced with Windows 2000.

Re: RealHW: Serial port not found!

You could try setting the boot option DEBUGPORT=SCREEN or just choosing the "ReactOS (Screen)" option at boot time.

Assuming all versions of Visual Studio have the same or similar licenses, they likely have this in there (this was taken from the Visual Studio Community 2019 license):

According to the page here: https://chipschallenge.fandom.com/wiki/Tile_World There may be some issues related to copyright with the original game. If you just want to grab it yourself, you can check here: http://www.scuzzstuff.org/chipschallenge/ But for packaging within RApps, I think you'd need t...

Re: new user

interested in knowing when ReactOS will be ready to use "It will be ready when it's ready." There is no solid timeline for a 1.0 release. It's very useable now, but the definition of "useable" will be different based on what you are trying to do. Will it work on a Raspberry Pi o...

Re: How do you disable the fat shutdown dialog buttons in recent nightly builds?

Presumably, according to the PR that made the change: https://github.com/reactos/reactos/pull/2762 It might go back to the other style if you install ROS as a "server".

Edit: Just tested with the latest nightly and this is correct.

...are you referring to my last post ? I'm pretty sure they're referring to the first post in this thread. Unfortunately the user, mf, was last active January 21st, 2009. The Wayback Machine's archive of the page from 2013 even shows that the image is broken: http://web.archive.org/web/201311122022...

Re: Would ReactOS work on these 2 barebones?

It's impossible to say for sure, but on the plus side they both have serial ports so you should be able to do some debugging more easily.
