Re: Boot from USB Drive?

I've tried the recent Nightly's on a USB drive and it doesn't yet boot Is this on real hardware or a VM? is this feature still being worked on? Yes. When will that feature be implemented officially on the official .iso's? I can't say for certain. Also the USB Keyboard still freezes on the first sta...

Re: Failed to load RAM disk file bootcd.iso

Based on my reading of the wiki page, there is likely to be at least two other files there, depending on whether you are creating the USB from Windows or Linux. https://reactos.org/wiki/User:Illen/RAM_Boot But, the example they give of the freeldr.ini has this line: Options=/RDPATH=bootcd.iso So eit...

Re: What would happen to the ReactOS project if Microsoft decided to make Windows open source, and will it ever happen?

One major thing is what license would the code possibly be released under. If it's not permissive enough, it wouldn't be nearly as helpful as one would hope. But if we assume they were to completely release XP's code under an appropriate license, then either that code will be integrated into ROS or ...

Re: use of usb-adapters and 128 Gb (or other) mem card

Are you asking if ReactOS can be installed to a USB drive and run from there (live USB)?

Re: Failed to load RAM disk file bootcd.iso

Did you remember to rename your ISO to "bootcd.iso" as pointed out in the instructions here:
At this point, the USB drive is fully prepared to RAM boot your ReactOS ISO image, just copy it there (and remember to rename it as specified in freeldr.ini)

Re: Blue Screen crash on VirtualBox

There are a few open issues in Jira for something like this:

https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-6839

https://jira.reactos.org/browse/CORE-9239

It seems that there are issues around pagefile management.

Re: Hardware compatability question

i'd like to know is if React OS 4.11 can make use of a dual cpu system such as mine. Probably not. ReactOS doesn't implement SMP at all yet. I have a microsoft usb mouse will it work on usb 1.0 with React OS? Possibly? My soundcard haS drivers that supported windows xp and newer, a "creative" brand...

Re: Diskpart Maintainer

Time to break out the debugging tools. The simplest place to start would be to attach a serial monitor to your VM and run ReactOS in Debug mode when you do this testing. I'd start here: https://reactos.org/wiki/Debugging#Virtual_machines Beyond that you may need to use tools like Windbg, but there a...

Re: Elite Dangerous/Star Citizen

A quick Google search led me to the following results for minimum system requirements: Elite Dangerous: Windows 7 SP1 32-bit. Star Citizen: 64 bit version Window (Windows 7 service pack 1 (64 bit) or higher) ReactOS is currently targeting Server 2003 / XP for compatibility. If the installers for the...

This is apparently incorrect.

Even their support website says so: https://www.metatrader4.com/en/trading-platform/help
The Client Terminal can operate under Microsoft Windows 7/8/10.
