I like windows, and I like software for windows. What I don't like, is their exhorbitant pricing. And, their policies about OS licensing. which is why I have such high hopes for ReactOS. I don't beleive MS should be fined or broken up even. What I think governments in general should do, is strip mic...

I think I get his gist. He's just wondering if a non-profit group could be setyup to raise funds by providing ReactOS related services for corps, while still providing the software for free. A retail package with written documentation would be sold for a minimal fee to corporations and use the proce...

Hahaha actually, I work the phones, Tech Support for PeoplePC, a better way to internet. All I do, all day long, is make DUN connections for new customers, or send people to their OEM to fix modem issues or turn of firewall programs. I can pretty much do it in my sleep, or while browsing the forums....

Also i want a comand prompt with full dos support, not the way MS is slowly droping support. Also i want a fdisk like app that supports a NTFS drive. But now im just getting gready Y...

Actually, XP can also use FAT32. SMB is just to find shared network resources. NTFS is not needed at all, for it to be implemented. Obviously, it would be NICE to have NTFS as well, but it seems to me MS has gone through great pains to make it as difficult and unpleasant for the open source communit...

what's the point of this post?
I mean, unless you are personally wanting to fund a windows-cloining project, what is the point of even thinking about commercializing ROS?

Yes Yes, but the question is, why dont we make Ros, indiscrimante to format type, have it read mac, Linux, Ms style formates and executables. Why should we limit our selfs to Win16, Win32 Well, I don't think its a matter of limits, its a matter of priority. The spirit of ReactOS is to clone Windows...

You would think then that TinyKrnl would be a subset of ReactOS, as in theory, both are open sourced kernels compatible with XP. It seems to me that ReactOS would be add-ons to TinyKrnl work. no?
