Reactos actually 'supports' FAT and FAT32 but doesn't run well off it...trust me I have tried and it doesn't take a bootloader well. It seems Reactos' native and 'friendly' OS at this point is VFAT off DRDOS. You can't patent a file system or stop other file systems from making compatability. Reacto...

OH HELL YEAH! It's on hardware and it's alive!

Thanks to forum Mod Jaix for his past posts about FAT32 support. Should anyone ever run into the BS bootload probs I did, just format your drive to FAT32 off a boot disk first and then let REACTOS setup re-format your hard drive. Also it's a good idea to set your graphic driver to VGA at first in se...

Hello again....

Well I've been messing with it for a few weeks off and on. Have my built NT4 off my test system and a have a good registry for all the drivers but no matter what I try (or what kind of boot method I try) freeloader can't find the Reactos boot directory (freeloader floppy) or I get a disk failure (MB...

Matthias

I am in awe with people patient enough to make Linux and the muddy software available out there for it work for them as a platform. Penguinhead is a compliment (and as far as Linux goes I'm a SuSE fan too...just been almost three years since I messed with anything Linux). I'm all about standards. Li...

Yeah application compatibility works all right. I've already seen that running and editing the preloaded VM Ware stuff for a few years. But that's emulation off a known standard....not too hard to compile up. I want to see ReactOS on real hardware. Again guys any idea how much head butting I'm going...

It seems from reading the forums and WIKI's that just installing NT compat drivers isn't enough at this point in ReactOS development. You have to edit the registry some (AND I LOATHE REGISTRY EDITING). However most the topics though mention importing a good NT4 registry into ReactOs. How successful ...

I'm not using the Live CD ISO

I'm using the regular ISO. I'm trying to install ReactOS on a hardware based machine finally. I've been using EMU's and such for awhile. Time to see this baby really rock.

Oh and I have the full suite of Nero

Question - making the ReactOS image a bootable CD with Nero

First of all WOW! I have been peeking at and playing with ReactOS for some four years on emulators and hadn't looked in about nine months. Was always impressed with it but I loaded it the other day in VMWare and all I can say is again....WOW. Great progress guys and congrats to everyone involved fro...
