Where can I get this IDL file? It is imported in the DCom IDL (reactos\dll\win32\ole32). I know what's supposed to be in it. I just don't know where to get it for React OS. Thank you.

Is there a way to compile just the tools? Especially the stuff for WIDL. I am starting to think I should just wait to try compiling till after the audit is done because 0.2.9 is giving me all kinds of problems.

gnuwin32
I am downloading the gnuwin32 programs using the wget batch files. I was wondering if everyone else keeps the mingw bins in a seperate director from the gnuwin32 bins? Or do you mix them? What are the advantages / disadvantages of both? Thank you for you patience as I try to compile various parts of...

What about just compiling the WIDL? IS that possible? Also, is the a GUID (UUID) generator in the directories somewhere? I renamed the telenet directory to BAD_telnet. Now I am getting this error: obj-i386\tools\rbuild\backend\mingw\modulehandler.o: file not recognized: File f ormat not recognized c...

Compiling tools
Is there a way to just compile the tools, or more specifically, the widl? I tried a full compile of 0.2.9 with mingw (make v 3.80 & gcc v 3.4.5), and I got this error message: c:/development/compilers/mingw/bin/../lib/gcc/mingw32/3.4.5/../../../../include/ c++/3.4.5/bits/stl_uninitialized.h: In ...

COM IDL
COM, IDL, mingw, C++, & reactos. Can I program COM for/on ROS? If so, will something compiled with mingw run correctly in windows? Or can you point me in the right dirrection to get my answers. My search of the forums seems to be coming up a dud (lots other words with COM in them).

well.
I was wondering more about ideas & knowledge I have learned from the subject in the book. You are right about the code from the book, but what about the knowledge? Knowledge like COM interfaces and how things are done. I am trying to determine what would cross the line like what happened to caus...

Propritary Knowledge
Given the current audit, I want to find out some more information. What is knowledge that can't be used? Obviously if you memorized, or copied, MFC (or other propriatary code) and placed it into the source for ROS, that would cause problems in the United States. What about if you read a book, or two...
