Re: Stage alpha or beta
Idealistically I thought by this time reactos would at least reach the beta stage. Realistically, I think it would take probably at least half my lifetime at least to reach beta level. I've lost hope in this project a long time ago and i accepted that it will forever be just a hobby OS with no pract...

Sandboxie being open sourced
Hi. Today I have stumbled upon good news: Sandboxie will be open sourced: https://community.sophos.com/products/sandboxie/f/forum/115109/major-sandboxie-news-sandboxie-is-now-a-free-tool-with-plans-to-transition-it-to-an-open-source-tool#pi2151=2 This will be a good start to build an own ReactOS San...

Amazing progress!
Wow... i have to say! :) I haven't posted in the forums for quite a while. But i see the regular ReactOS releases now (every few months). I see the heavy progress being made on many components (such as NTFS, theming, quick launch etc.) ReactOS has really started to react in its truest sense! Thank y...

Partnership with DriverPack
Hello all. I would like to know if the people that are in charge of this wonderful project have ever considered this: When reactos is stable enough, would it support all plug and play devices ? Would a possible to form a partnership with driverpack help you achieve this? and... is this possible firs...

Re: EPIC WIN!
Not me who tested it, but look what I've found NFS Underground 2 working on ROS 0.4.1 :O
I hope it's not a duplicate (and even if it is, it's too cool not to mention it again )

ROS first live boot on my machine
Hi. Here is my experience with React 0.4 (final) on my hardware. I have included the hardware specs in the archive. Couldn't enter debug to get a backtrack. I either got BSOD or the DVD simply won't boot. Managed to capture screen debug but I don't know how useful that can be. I reckon it's better t...

Re: What I've learnt from mouth-to-mouth advertising ReactOS
I almost forgot... In their skepticism, they asked me to show them the GPL license of ReactOS, which I had trouble finding on the new website. I know it's on the EULA when you install ReactOS but some people apparently need to know they are safe before even downloading. :) And yes, Many things are j...

What I've learnt from mouth-to-mouth advertising ReactOS
Hi. I want to share some feedback with you that I've collected throughout advertising ROS (especially since 0.4.0 launch): 1) People don't realize that it's made from scratch 2) People don't realize that it's not a microsoft clone 3) They think that using the same system file names equals clone and ...

Website revamped - awesome!! :D
Hi guys. Just wanted to say... The website looks awesome! :D Far back are the days when ReactOS was dev-oriented only. Now, for it to also appeal to consumers, it should have been revamped. The website change is, in my opinion, very welcome and in sync with times, so to say :D ! P.S. Just gonna leav...

Re: block to FLOPPY.SYS
Hi sazearte
1) check and set BIOS to Legacy Mode (not UEFI)
2) check and set HDD mode to IDE/Compatible (NOT SATA/AHCI)
I don't know if this will work, but it's worth a shot.
