Re: Reactos 0.3.8

I hope 0.3.8 is stable enough to be the last 0.3.x.

Let's go for 0.4.0! Audio! USB keyboard and mouse support! SMB! More compatibility! :D

Then again, like this we have a new version every few months which is also very nice.

Re: ASUS EEE

Ros doesnt support SATA Yet. Thank you for adding the 'yet' part. It gives hope to those who want to use ROS on the EEE PC. 8) Actually we're almost there. There already is a driver which enables large hard disks and SATA. Just rename ATAPI.SYS to UNIATA.SYS and it should work! This isn't the defau...

Re: 0.3.6 Released

0.3.6 is a pretty amazing improvement, especially when you consider the timeframe (and that is was released in the summers where devs usually do other stuff than code). Good job everyone and keep up the good work!

Re: ReactOS in Bochs

I know. I've used QEMU on XP, and is AWESOME! I just wish that you would provide some other free virtualization software preloaded with ROS. Why? Why waste the time of developers while QEMU works awesome? (you said so yourself) Perhaps it is a good idea to make a Bochs build yourself, upload it to ...

Re: Solution for those who want 0.3.5 to be released ASAP

I've just made my donation. Developers, you juste got 25$. Good for you that you've kept your promise! However: I don't think there are enough people who are willing to donate on a regular basis to afford a fulltime developer (I'd consider it though) and because when that isn't the case, the donate...

Re: ReactOS in Bochs

From 0.1.0 on, ReactOS released with every release a preloaded in bochs version. After a short while releasing both a bochs version and an qemu version (0.2.3 and 0.2.4), they have switched to qemu completely (0.2.5 and beyond). So it is safe to say they have considered bochs and switched to qemu be...

Re: I wrote a small image viewer...

Just tried it in Windows XP. A few things - You can't navigate through pictures using the arrow keys of your keyboard - The entire application closes after you close the about box. - It doesn't remember me saying "no" when being asked about file association - File association only works wh...

I really like this development. UNIATA is in my opinion one of the most important steps for ReactOS to become actually usable (among proper support for USB keyboards and mice).

Anyone has any idea when UNIATA will be used by default? 0.3.5? 0.3.6? 0.4.0?

We're now closer to a release (0.3.5, scheduled for April), so it is to be expected that adding new features has decreased and developers are focusing on bugfixing which result in less commits. And maybe the style of the developers have changed that they commit more at once. Less commits isn't neces...

what? Mate, just look into the screenshots section. There is a certain quake 3 screenshot that is going to disagree with you :). With some modifications (hacks) in mesa3d and win32k I was even able to run unreal 2004, RTCW, Half-life etc.. True, true. Unfortunately, that is either in software (UT) ...

The most fancy game ReactOS can run now is Diablo 2 demo (2D) [1]. It is quite an achievement, but (for example) quake 3 is still far away.

Better games support isn't planned until ReactOS 0.6 (from roadmap)
