It looks like password changing isn't turned on? Do I really have to reset my password to change it?
-edit- Managed to find the password change page by fiddling with the login URL. Really annoying that this isn't linked anywhere else on the site. https://reactos.org/roslogin/?p=selfservice

Re: Blog: Merged Folders and undocumented interfaces
Older topic (I know), but as far as renaming folders like Programs in the shell - why not implement a feature from XP and up? When you look at a user's documents or pictures as another user, it won't say "My Documents" or "My Pictures", but "(User)'s Documents" and &quo...

Re: Two Steps from [the S]hell
Because the shell wasn’t prepared for this situation, it would fail to initialize both the start menu and the Favorites menu. I fixed both, but it turns out the livecd doesn’t have a Favorites folder at all, so the problem remains that there is no Favorites menu to show. It should be fixed at some ...

Microsoft open sources more .net stuff
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/dotnet/archive/2014/11/12/net-core-is-open-source.aspx Today is a huge day for .NET! We’re happy to announce that .NET Core will be open source, including the runtime as well as the framework libraries. This is a natural progression of our open source efforts, which already c...

Re: Suggest new Status and Issue Type for JIRA
If the issue is invalid, it can be closed as invalid, worksforme or some other status. If it's valid, it's either kept as it is or assignee changed. That's the problem. Out of 1,550+ bugs that I linked, only 8 are "in progress", the rest are just open. And there's no way to tell which one...

Re: 0.3.17 testing
How about having another bug drive before release? Just like before, ask the community to test every bug that's still open to verify the issue. Perhaps try to get at least one developer comment on each remaining bug, explaining what it could possibly be related to, how important it is, etc. open JIR...

Suggest new Status and Issue Type for JIRA
Open JIRA bugs As a user and occasional bug tester/filer, the state of the bugs in JIRA has gotten me down for a while. Lots of open bugs, some not commented on in years. According to the JIRA manual, the status and issue type can both be expanded. I would suggest two new statuses: Verified (for bu...

Re: Blog: Leaks and corruption
Have you tried just copying the install files from your machine to ReactOS? Maybe install it on a Windows VM with something like Sandboxie or a program install monitor if straight copying doesn't work?Deleaker isn’t able to install correctly

Re: Blog: Advancing the TODO list...
My Dropbox Public folder was temporarily banned due to excessive traffic, so I have removed the iso links from it. When I make new isos, I will upload them to a new place that has less restrictions. Firedrive.com. As far as I know you only have a space limit, unlimited transfer. It's also consisten...

Re: PC ROS Rigs - Real Hardware Testing (rig) - WIKI
What would be really useful is a GUI tool to report hardware results. Something with a few basic tests (play a sound, test internet connectivity, change resolution, etc). Takes the results, a list of all the PCI device ID's on the system, and the ReactOS build number, puts it in a text file. Enter y...

Re: Blog: Tweaks and improvements
The "Internet" and "LAN/Intranet" zones? If so, it would be unnecessary to replicate that feature. I do not know any firewall or anything that really acts for that purpose acting by altering the zones. Yes. If you browse to a network location, you'd get the "LAN" (&quo...

Re: Fix of the Week
I think next week's will be fixing the Explorer shell copy bugs. Those have been around for years and result in data loss, so that will be a big improvement.
