Re: Double-click to close

I've been using windows since the beginning and I was unaware this functionality was available. I doubt many others are aware of it too. I wouldn't let it be a show-stopper for you with regard to the use of an operating system, however, it does show how attached people can be to their GUI. I though...

Re: stupid question, (sorry!)

perhaps what your gettin at, the versions numbers go
0.3.8
0.3.9
0.3.10
0.3.11
etc, you might have been thinking 0.3.9 was later than 0.3.1x?

Re: Which your favorite programming language??

Delphi, good language but shocking IDE quality. C is such a horable language, pitty its so popular. if the world had taken on some other language the worlds software would be far more advanced and less buggy. case sensitive - what were they thinking.

Re: Can OS detect human or machine operater?

but why have a requirement to type something when the OS can simply implament it as an accept button that can not be automates, just like vista and 7 already do for that exact purpose, preventing potentialy unsafe actions running without human conformation?

Re: 1.0.0 ETA

I'm going to guess over 10 years. ofcorse it could go like mediaportal, just give up on making it stable and just call it version 1.0 anyway :). but it'll still beat duke4 anyway.

Re: Windows 7 Release Candidate nvidia BSOD

can you remove any drivers it might be using, if need be delete nv*.dll (or there abouts) so that you boot just on generic drivers then install propper drivers from there? I also had nVidia problems but not that bad, I needed to reinstall drivers but no BSOD.

Re: Reactos as Jukebox

sounds good, good luck getting it to work reliably, with sound but if you can then good for you. I have thought for some time reactos was getting close to being usefull for a very limited machiene, like that, only needs to run one app. As i see it it will become used more as a winxp embeded replacem...

Re: Regression in gdi32: gdiobj & palette - 40380 and 40382

apart from any GPL issues, I don't think most of those files can just be droped in atm, because currently reactos skips steps and does many things the wrong ways, ways those DLLs wouldn't expect.

Re: help32.exe - It isn't present

I think they got rid fo winhlp32 in vista because they though it was about time, winhlp32 was the help system for win95, I think it may have been replaced by html help in win98 (maybe it was later than win98). I do agree that it being in reactos would be a good thing though.
