It certainly will have more features. USB 2 development seems to be coming along nicely. One student will attempt to get NTFS volumes supported. Another student is working on the audio mixer (I think)and Win32 is also getting more and more bugs fixed. Also the heap manager is being worked on. So .40...

http://www.reactos.org/archives/public/ ... 14165.html Seems the devs are hoping to push .40 out after GSOC. So I'd bet if that happens it will be considerably more stable than now

Not stable and won't be for quite a long time. The kernel is still incomplete and most everything else is too so there's just to many variables any of which can crash it.

Would USB 2 functionality be a good idea for a GSOC student? Even if only parts of it could be done maybe the effort and time could be extended by a code bounty. I would gladly donate some money towards that
