Re: TRS80? not a compatible CPU...

Unless Reactos developers can correct my statement, i doubt that reactos runs on 8-bit processor. It would not even run on a 16 bit Intel like the 8086 You need a 486, Pentium (or XBox) compatible computer. Some parts of ReactOS prevent running on 386 afaik. ReactOS requieres at least ~10 MB ram, i...

Anything is possible from what I can tell, but a CE version of ReactOS may be far off at the moment and ReactOS being so incomplete at this time for drivers to work outside the source code tree then it could be a bit of a trick to get devices like GPS receivers working and such.

There is no way of doing that (at least from my experience) but if you use VMware Workstation, you can set up a Virtual Machine session of ReactOS.iso to use that entire harddrive as a harddrive, only reason I say this is because I actually did such a thing and the drive DID boot into ReactOS.

In my oppinion EyeOS is a neat idea but I do have concern over what GreatLord suggested, that they may try to close source the code, if that happens, contact Free Software Foundation immediately, I'm sure they'll handle a majority of that legal problem.

It should work, unless the mouse needs it's own drivers. You should reinstall ReactOS and check to see if the configuration is set to Serial Mouse (if you are using the Install CD one) otherwise you may have to use it's own drivers on it (which could/couldn't work) reason I speak that was is because...

You're welcome, it's better if you use an emulated version of ReactOS at the moment, such as the QEMU download of it.

I don't have an answer to that GRUB_ thing despite I have Linux experience, what I can tell you is that GRUB is a boot manager and loader. As for the Live CD and Install CD. The reason the Live CD is 62mb is because it has ReactOS preinstalled on it and the Install CD does not, now the Install CD in...

I too have noticed that discrepency, it seems ReactOS has become more of a VM operating system then an actual operating system... something has to be done about this because I'm eager to try it out on my box ASAP without the need of emulation lol

Re: reactos in client/server?

( SNIP ) So there's LAMP, WAMP, WIMP and (hopefully) RAMP :P http://www.hmailserver.com/ why RAMP if a Windows version already is there? :D i'm guessing you mean WAMP? i actually like IIS, but the WIMP acronym is a bit mean. :-) there'll never be a RIMP so RAMP is about as close as it'll get. but a...
