Re: [Urgent]Community your help is needed[Urgent]

Could someone make a special build that has ThFabba's hackfix applied to it? We should verify if it is able to hide the bug.

Re: [NewIdea]A new way to push ReactOS Development [NewIdea]

I just don't think that's realistic. A Windows license is $140, so why would anyone pay $180 per year for a "free" Windows clone? Fair enough, even $5-$10 a month would be better than what the project is currently receiving, provided that enough people do this. I absolutely believe that there is en...

Re: [NewIdea]A new way to push ReactOS Development [NewIdea]

I think we actually agree here. My point in bringing up 0.4.0 is a bit exaggerated, but features should only be implemented once bugs have been resolved. As I only want to donate for features, not for sorting out bugs, I'd wait with donating till these obvious bugs (with probably a not so obvious s...

Re: [NewIdea]A new way to push ReactOS Development [NewIdea]

* requesting features, rather than helping general progress. This was already tried before with the community funded ideas; It didn't go so well. Donating for getting features implemented is pleasant, donating so developers get rid of bugs isn't. Perhaps wait till 0.4.0 is out? I have to disagree w...

Re: [NewIdea]A new way to push ReactOS Development [NewIdea]

I would pay 60€ a year for a weekly (or monthly) Newsletter like the one which has been (not that often) published. That's great and all, but come on guys can't we do better than this? How about we get as many community members to donate 15€ each month. That's not a lot at all, and if we can get a ...

Re: [NewIdea]A new way to push ReactOS Development [NewIdea]

Guys, come on we can do this. All it would take is is $20 a month from each of us. I know the economy is bad right now pretty much everywhere, but $20 is a little more than the cost of a large pizza! There is definitely way more than 500 of us who use ReactOS and we could raise over $10,000 to fund ...

Re: Request for testing on real hardware

What was your problem with RAM? The machine only has 64mb. Last time I tested it I'd be fortunate if I was able to get it to start up without something crashing one out of like every four or five times. I was told by one of the developers (I forgot who exactly) that while ReactOS should theoretical...

Re: Request for testing on real hardware

I can give ReactOS a try again on my pentium II. Unfortunately last time the RAM was a major hindrance. Perhaps this time it'll work better. I'll post my specs later and try to start testing tomorrow.

Re: [NewIdea]A new way to push ReactOS Development [NewIdea]

Guys, guys, guys you are WAY over thinking this. Just forget about corporate donations, this isn't the objective here, and I highly doubt any corporations are going to be interested in donating just yet. ReactOS is getting to that stage, but it needs to stabilize more and work on more real hardware ...

Be sure to post this as a bug report. Testers with real hardware are in high demand right now.

Re: ReactOS FTW (My suggestions for Reactos)

Guys how about this for a suggestion: let the developers stick to implementing the core stuff such as the kernel,win32k etc. All these suggestions aren't necessarily terrible, it just isn't the time to be worrying about this kind of stuff. And no one is going to use ReactOS if the core stuff isn't f...

Re: 0.4.0 stoppers

I think this http://www.reactos.org/wiki/Buglist might be what you are looking for. I'm not sure if it's official or not, but it does give a better insight into at least some of the things that have to be finished before 0.4.0 can be released.
