Re: EPIC WIN - Hardware

I think that dmesg would be a good start also. But the brand of the PC has nothing to do with it, sometimes even the same model PC will have different revisions of components, specifics are necessary. I know there are thousands of different hardware components but documenting what works and what doe...

Re: Coordinated Hardware testing

My point exactly, the purpose of ReactOS is to run on real hardware. So hardware testing needs to be done. This would also be helpful as some device may cause ROS not to boot or other odd behavior on real hardware. I was thinking about starting and maintaining an "H.C.L" or Hardware Compatibility Li...

Re: EPIC WIN - Hardware

I was thinking a list of working mainboards with a description of what works and what does not work, then a page could be made and maintained for recommended hardware for testing, with comments of-course. Then each motherboard could be described in detail about what chipset and graphics and other de...

Re: EPIC WIN - Hardware

Sounds good. I was thinking that if we can get some specific model numbers and make and model number from the "Device Manager" in Windows list, then others can find the same or similar hardware to run ReactOS on for testing, I am especially interested in hardware testing, since this is the real goal...

Coordinated Hardware testing

I have seen here that we have coordinated software testing, such as the compatibility list for software and drivers. But I was thinking that documented testing basic real hardware systems needs to be done for compatibility aswell in like manner. Such as make and model numbers of mainboards that can ...

Re: ReactOS is failing to boot..... any suggestions?

Ok, so is there a strait forward suggestion I can try?

Also if anyone could point me to the last version of ReactOS that booted at all on the xbox, that would be great.

ReactOS is failing to boot..... any suggestions?

Hello I am 00010. you may know me from infinitemac.com, but all that aside I just wanted to know if anyone could suggest how I should go about solving the problem I am experiencing. ReactOS will not boot past the "Loading setup Files Screen" and stops at the ex2.sys file and the screen goes blank, ...
