Re: Sending "Cntl-Alt-Del" does not do anything in VMware virtual machine

I installed ReactOS (the latest version) into a VMware Fusion Virtual Machine on a 2015 27" iMac running Monterey. Everything went fine (more or less, it took 24 hours to download and install various bits of software), until it didn't, and the VM crashed / blue-screened. When it came up, I was...

Re: Trying to get Gmax to work

Hi, Thanks for the suggestion! Could the problem be Visual Basic? Should I try installing that? I read somewhere that a lot of programs were made with it and it can be the source of many bugs. i agree with dizt3mp3r But if you can get Gmax to run on ReactOS with the understanding you may lose data ...

Re: What are some recommendations as settings that are best for Reactos under VirtualBox?

ReactOS is in development (alpha stage). But if you want to test it, 2 GB of RAM and 1 Core of CPU is more than enough. you do not need 2GB of RAM a clean install of the latest nightly build bdae8cf uses 22MB to 89MB of RAM you can install Reactos on VirtualBox VM with just 55MB of RAM my recommend...

Re: Anyone got Apache Web Server working?

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has ever got Apache Web Server working in ReactOS? I have managed to get it installed as a service, but it is hit-and-miss whether the service successfully runs or not. It can run as a console app, but trying to access http://localhost/ from a FireFox browser (in ReactO...

Re: Chatgpt combined reactos

The simple answer is NO!!! https://reactos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22110 hi OK this is a simple question The problem is with the data sets used to train the AI model so any code created by chat GPT cannot be used At best the AI model is trained using GPL code but at worst, for ReactOS, it ...

Re: ROS and Win 10,11,...

Many people sill prefer XP/2003 and dislike newer versions of MS Windows. There are many reasons for that. "Traditional" UI, better privacy, older applications they are used to, etc. BTW, have you noticed many free programs eventually become non-free. If ROS becomes like Win 10 and later,...
