Re: ReactOS LiveCD (Release version 0.14.3) BSoD

Will try ramdisk only if none of the information provided above is helpful, having trouble making sense of the guide since it seems to be missing pieces. (For instance, what is RufusNo2 screenshot?) The "Rufus No2 screenshot" refers to the screenshot image Rufus No2, which you will find l...

Re: ReactOS LiveCD (Release version 0.14.3) BSoD

There are a few things you can try:
1. The latest build.
2. If you get a BSoD, then at the prompt, type bt.
3. Try the ramdisc method.

Re: How can I change the default background?

If you only want to change the wallpaper, then have a read of A layman's guide - Making wallpaper available in an ISO image.

But you will need to compile your own ISO from the source.

It is still not ready for release, due to having too many bugs, but you can find release candidates at SourceForge.

Re: Is it true that the cooperation between WINE and ReactOS is tough?

Is it true that the cooperation between WINE and ReactOS is tough? From what I have observed, there is co-operation between ReactOS and Wine; there is even a Wine developer with an account here at reactos.org, but is it frictionless, possibly not. Others that are more informed than I am, should be ...

Re: VIDEO: How To Install ReactOS on REAL HARDWARE!

Thanks for the walk-through - unfortunately for me, 0.4.13 freezes after displaying the language selection(appears to highlight US keyboard). Any suggestions. 1. Please do not resurrect an old topic (the last post was 2 years ago before yours), but start a fresh one in the relevant forum (for your ...

I'll make it so, SQLite isn't my first choice due to a "lack" of pure C# libraries to connect to it (usually are wrappers for C++ libs) - but i'll do it to see my "app in a box" - will take some time though ... EDITED You can run gsec and isql from the command line, but there ar...

Re: ReactOS on HP mini 110c-1000

Comparing Fedora with ReactOS is not comparing like for like. And ReactOS is alpha and you are comparing with Fedora which you say is beta; not a fair comparison. If want to help, then read the Layman's guides and you will find more info in the main wiki . Then test, capture debug logs and make repo...

To answer your question, read the change log.

But 0.4.13 was released almost 12 months ago, so it is now an old release.

TinyCad

TinyCad is more of a basic electronics cad app compared to such as KiCad. It installs and runs, but it has bugs, both display and functional. Not quite an Epic win. There is a basic error in the schematic, which all the electronic boffs will see very quickly (I didn't flip the battery, so the polari...

Re: ReactOS on HP mini 110c-1000

Until ReactOS progresses and supports newer versions of Windows, you will need XP/2003 drivers; this applies to installing in real hardware, I don't know if it also applies to VMs. All my HP drivers start with sp numbers .exe. When you run the executable, it unpacks the files into a folder with the ...

Re: ReactOS on HP mini 110c-1000

My suggestions are: 1. Use a computer that is dedicated to testing ReactOS (not your 'every-day' computer). 2. Try one of the latest builds . Not all of the drivers for the hardware are going to install and work (that is my experience). Try the drivers one by one; if a driver causes a problem, then ...
