Re: Make VirtualBox compatibility a top priority

Try decrasing video ram to a value below 64MB. Amazing. That helped. I set the video memory to 32 MB and now it works fine. Why didn't I think of that?!!! ;) But here is the thing... If i increase the video memory anywhere close to 60 MB or above, then the results are unpredictable. ReacOS may boot...

Re: Make VirtualBox compatibility a top priority

@ EmuandCo: Ok. Here is the debug info I got off the COM1 port. Had to redirect VBOX COM1 to a raw file. Re: Make VirtualBox compatibility a top priority

Sorry for the delayed response. But here are are couple of things that might be interesting. @ Haos: It does not have VT-x, but it sure does have AMD-V. I believe VirtualBox supports both. http://i51.tinypic.com/28m32bq.gif As far as the settings are concerned, here it is... General Name: ReactOS OS...

Re: Make VirtualBox compatibility a top priority

Hi All! Anyone used ReactOS 0.3.13 with VirtualBox 4.0.4 & VirtualBox Guest Additions lately? I have been trying this for quite sometime now and still get the same bluescreen. Even tried it with the latest SVN builds. I am putting the screen shot of the BSOD here. I would be glad if I can be of ...

Re: 32-bit proper OS/2 subsystem

And probably use DOSBox to implement NTVDM. Just a thought...

Re: 32-bit proper OS/2 subsystem

Hey, v_2samg, I was poking around the ReactOS wiki and found this information on planning for the OS/2 subsystem. Looks like someone thinks like you do. Hmmm... Thanks for the info. Agreed, it is not so critical at the moment. But it sure is a nice feature, if implemented. Maybe in the near future....

32-bit proper OS/2 subsystem

Can we expect a complete 32-bit implementation of an OS/2 subsystem in ReactOS? We can use the OSFree project as a base and build from there. This would allow ReactOS to be embraced by longtime OS/2 users and also expand the software compatibility scope.

Use DOSBox to implement the NTVDM/DOS subsystem

I am not sure if someone has already requested this. But in my personal opinion this would be a great feature in ReactOS. DOSBox can already run a wide range of DOS software and games. The compatibility and performance is also good. Share your thoughts...
