Hi,

Can you give us more details about the machine that gave you that FreeLdr error? What kind of motherboard and chipset etc. It could also be a problem with the CHS reading code in Freeldr. LBA usually has no problem but CHS can be tricky for old machines.

Thanks.

Why not use Perl? Perl is an excellent scripting language and does everything you could ever dream to do :)

Unfortunately, I read some where that binaries would be dropped because upgrading by just placing the new binaries over the old would cause problems.

I don't think we will see binaries... looks like you'll have to rip them from the ISO (ala WinRAR) or something.

You will have to use a generic driver. The Vesa one isn't so bad. There was support for NVidia cards but since I don't have an Nvidia card I can't tell you whether they were still working.

Driver support

Has anyone been able to get the Intel 440BX AGP Filter driver loaded in ReactOS? I've added it to the registry and put the file in reactos/system32/drivers/AGP440.SYS but I can't seem to even get it to show in the boot logs. I just took this file and registry information from my Windows 2000 system....

Jayclark,

It sounds like have some kind of RAID or SCSI adapter that is currently incompatible with FreeLoader.. You can hack FreeLoader to load the correct drivers but it requires modification of the freeloader code.
