Thanks guys. That's an eye-opener. Glad I checked on here before proceeding.

May not be the "right" place to ask, but is there any stable and user-friendly alternatives that I could use on my main computer, that you would reccommend?

Hi, I'm not a computer tech, but I'm fairly confident at trying new things. I'm pi**ed off with Windows and I've been using OpenOffice as an alternative along with Firefox and Thunderbird for some time now. So now I'd like to try a new OS.
