Re: Beginning testing in OS X VM (QEMU)
Update (sorry for double post): I have confirmed that the Q driver package does NOT work. I am looking for my VPC 7 copy to try that. Note that testing on this powerbook will be when I'm not near my powermac G4. My Power Macs specs: 1.5ghz XC7455 768mb DDR ram OS X leopard so the specs are similar a...

Beginning testing in OS X VM (QEMU)
Hey guys, I have been away from the scene for a while, i know, but I've began testing ReactOS in a VM on Q in Mac OS X Leopard. Here are my machine specs: Powerbook G4 1.5 ghz 768mb ram 64mb radeon 9700 I have managed to install it rather quickly, but it grinds along with these options: Standard vid...
Re: USB Boot
Ignore the childish pyrosoft, he obviously thinks he could do better than us by rewriting a poorly documented and closed source OS. @Pyrosoft I don't know you, but maybe you should get a few USB stack books, make us a USB stack, have it added to ReactOS and make some drivers for this purpose. If you...

Re: Windows NT Independent
Maybe you don't understand me. Let's say a dev called Mike makes a new game called Mars. He has the XP API set (A) and the vista set (B). He uses the A (XP) set because he is familiar with it and it makes sense for his game, but MS gives him a cash bonus by having the installer only install on B (Vi...

Re: Windows NT Independent
I knew that, but I mean, MS is paying devs to remove XP options, yet the programs themselves don't implement vista's newer API, they use XP's standards, but apply it to vista and I'm suggesting that there be a workaround developed when there is time and resources available.

Windows NT Independent
I have no idea whether this has crossed your minds... but even though ReactOS is XP compatible, mostly at least, wouldn't it be an interesting solution to be able to install programs regardless of whether they are meant for Vista, 7, future releases, etc. I have noticed, especially in the current, t...

Buildable within another OS (I.E. Linux, BSD, Windows, etc.)
I fully recommend this feature be eventually implemented as development will be easier for non MS Windows users.
