I know that .sys kernel drivers use absolutely different API-functions. But that means not that it was not possible to use them. VB6 can use pointers without any problems, although this is undocumented most advanced VB5/6 developer use them. For example there are these undocumented functions: VarPtr...

In my opinion the only real advantage of VB.NET is the big amount of ready-to-use predefined objects. I wrote my own VB6 nano framework that cobines the elegance of strict object orientated programming with the significant higher speed and of the VB6 compiler that produces real maschine code instead...

There is another question I'm interrested in: Are there any plans yet to rewrite the VB6 runtime libraries like msvbvm60.dll or even the whole VB6 IDE in order make all these millions of skilled VB programmers out there joining the ReactOS development team? :D

Hello everybody! I'm a very experienced (hardcore) VB6 programmer. It's a pitty but I don't know much about C/C++ :-(.
