Re: Custom Resolutions?

I agree completely. Especially the older apps thing. I often prefer console games, regardless of whether a native alternative is available or not, for this reason. Most emulators simply give us more control and more options, and switching between windowed mode and fullscreen mode and using filters a...

Re: ROS On Non-PC Hardware (Screenshots!!)

That's kinda irrelevant. x86-64 processors can run x86-32 software natively, we just need the OS to use that feature in an as nice and transparent way as possible. If you want to run x86 software on a PPC processor however, you need to emulate the hardware. You'd probably be better off with a virtua...

Re: ReactOS Application Manager

I don't care too much about the name, as long as it does its work. The application is generally nice and a great improvement over the Download! application. But I hate it that you can only install one package at a time. Checkboxes or something to that effect should be implemented IMO. And while you'...

Re: Free Operating Systems That Aren't Linux

Yep, but the review sounds negative. They make it sound more negative than even HaikuOS which is ridiculous. Why do people waste their time coding operating systems like HaikuOS? Code Linux or better yet code ReactOS! There is so much open-source ability it's too bad it's not co-ordinated toward so...

Re: Will ReactOS be Infected by Windows Virus as Windows OS?

Lack of resources.
Sorry, but I don't really see your point. I wasn't asking "Why haven't you implemented this YET?", but simply why not do it (When it's possible to do so). I fully understand if it's not possible to do so Soon.

Re: I appreciate your work.

I agree with a lot of the things mentioned here and on the list, although the popularity-based problems are not too fair to judge from. There are a lot of problems based more or less solely on Linux's own issues alone though. A display manager without proper support for 32bpp? In 2009? That pretty m...

Re: Will ReactOS be Infected by Windows Virus as Windows OS?

Why not implement UAC. Windows is already using it, so it wouldn't be ReactOS-specific. While the option of requesting a password may not exist in Windows (Not sure), once UAC would be implemented, it shouldn't be too hard to add, and it would help further.

Re: Firefox 3 messed up and 0.5 by Christmas?

Afaik, Firefox uses XUL regardless of what OS is being used. They've added integration for Windows, Mac OS X and GTK+ to XUL. Firefox is not integrated when running in KDE, the Linux version will always use the theming that GTK+ provides. Same thing with *BSD.

Re: Please post your 0.3.9 screenshots here

I just remembered that we were asked in the first post to label our screenshots. For some reason, I can't find any Edit button here.. Anyway, the screenshots I uploaded are all taken by myself, deniseweird. If that's what you meant. Sorry.

Re: Please post your 0.3.9 screenshots here

This seems to be a common problem. Gens GS, BoycottAdvance, and also Snes9x if I remember correctly, have this keyboard problem. I don't know the cause of it though. It could be DirectInput like you said.
